THE THREE exchanged a worried look, the saviors were approaching and they could do nothing about it. they were in a tight situation; especially carol, who had no idea about what richard had done.

"it's them." richard announced, taking a peek behind the metal wall once to confirm it really was those people, "look, we can wait for things to go bad, and lose people... or we can do the hard thing... and choose our fate for ourselves."

     "no." daryl answered.

rosaline shot him a disgusted look, "choose our fate ourselves? what about carol who you just practically led them to? that's not choosing your fate very much."

"sorry." the man jerked his chin at them.

she glared, "sorry isn't really gonna cut it if she's dead."

as richard began to walk away, daryl lunged for him, gripping the back of his armor and throwing him to the floor. the pair began to tussle on the ground. rosa stood there, conflicted on what to do.

     should she stop them?

     the rumbling grew closer.

"stop. now. they're here." she warned, pulling rhaegar closer to her so he wouldn't let himself be seen.

despite that, daryl began to throw several blows at the guy, left-right, and center. eventually, richard managed to reach for the gun beside him, right-hooking the marksman with it, sending him to the side. they took hold of their weapons.

the brunette decided she'd had enough. swiftly, she reached for the rifle she was holding and aimed it a richard, "put it down, asshole."

richard gasped for air as he stood up, training his own gun on them both, switching occasionally,  "there'll be more. or those- they're gonna ride back this way later. we'll have another chance, but we're running out of time. if you and your people want to move against the saviors... you need to do it soon, and you need the kingdom."

"we can get the kingdom, but not like this." the young woman countered watching as rhaegar crept up behind him, ready to pounce if signaled to.

he shook his head, "maybe but what we have to do requires sacrifice one way or another. people like us... we've already lost so much."

"you don't know us." daryl rasped.

"i know... that carol, living on her own like that... she might as well be dead right now."

"you don't know that either." rosaline remarked.

the marksman lowered his weapon, "listen if rosaline or carol get hurt from this, die, catch a fever, if they're taken out by a walker, get hit by lightning- anything happens to them, i'll kill you."
