Just Passing by

"Don't have plans to get married?" Khy asked.

Everyone giggled. Andriel and I were together for ten years.

I was about to react when Dustyn interrupts.

"Maybe you should get a boyfriend first, Khy."

"Why are you reacting? Because you like her? Siguro kaya hindi pa kayo nagpapa-kasal dahil gusto mo din si Dustyn?"

"No!" I exclaimed.

"I'm not stupid, Keena. Stop dating him if you had no intentions of marrying him!"

I hate gatherings. Khy likes Andriel that's why.

"We'll get married by next month, Khy. You'll be one of the bridesmaids, don't worry!" My mouth went open because of what he said. "Right, love?" he asked. Napatango na lamang ako sa tanong niya.

Pagkatapos no'n ay hinila na niya ako palabas ng restaurant.

"What's with the lie, Andriel? We heard that question a lot before, right? You do-"

"I meant what I said.''

"Yea-wait what?!"

He sighed as he took something inside his pocket, "Will you marry me?"

I was overwhelmed and couldn't be more astounded. I nodded as he held my left hand and put on the ring.

I can't even think straight now. For almost ten years, we're now getting married. If I'm going back in time, I would still anticipate this long!

I covered my face with my bare hands because of overflowing emotions inside me.
"Why are you crying? Don't you like the ring?"

I pushed him, "I love it!"

God knows how long I've waited for this!

"Khy ruined my plan, I was supposed to propose to you tomorrow with a bouquet," he pouty said.

"Corny, who taught you that?"

"Dustyn." He rolled his eyes like an annoyed kid.

I never thought that Dustyn would help him. Everyone knows that he likes me.

"Change topic! Isa pa rin siyang threat sa 'kin!"

"We're engaged! How come that he's a threat?" Natatawa ko pang sabi.

Time flies really fast, I'm getting married today. I can't wait!

Nakasakay na ako sa limousine na maghahtid sa akin sa simbahan nang biglang tumawag sa akin si Dustyn.

"Congrats."

I felt sadness in his voice and is he wasted? I never heard his voice like this.

"Where are you? What's wrong with your voice? Hindi ka ba pupunta ng kasal ko?"

He chuckled, "Stop doing that, I'm moving on. I can't go, baka bigla akong tumutol sa kasal niyo."

Natahimik naman ako roon. He likes me but I can't like him back, that must be really heartbreaking.
