Best friend. These words would be treasured by most sane people, meaning that they were ones most important friend, the one they treasured over anybody else. The one they could turn the when they were in need with no one else to turn to, someone to rely on. The person they felt most comfortable with and wasn't afraid to be who they truly were, sharing their most guarded secrets so freely without a second thought as they trusted them so much. The sacred bond between two people that pulled them closer than any lovers could compare to, just a mere step away from soulmates, a bond so strong that outlived any ups and downs.
Nothing made you more proud than to be referred to as 'best friend' by no other than Kim Seokjin, the only person you'd ever really trusted. Leaning more towards the more introverted side of the scale meant that you rarely interacted with other people but you found yourself quickly being able to connect with Seokjin and speak freely around him. A sense of comfort and security surrounded you whilst you were with him, a feeling that you soon became attached to but would ruin you in the end of everything.
"What time is Jinnie coming over honey, I bought snacks from the store for the both of you earlier. No need to thank me!" Your mother chuckled as she unloaded her shopping bags, producing bag after bag of multicoloured candy bags, the occasional popcorn bag making its way through the selection too. It had quickly become a ritual for you and Soekjin to have a movie night every Friday night, a way to kick back and relax after a hard week at school, also allowing the two of you to spend time together alone, in a platonic way of course.
"I don't know actually though he's later than usual. I'll just send him a quick text to see where he is." You mumbled more to yourself than your mother, whipping your phone out and clicking on Jin's contact that was always at the top of the pile. Jin was the only person that you really ever talked to, not feeling the need to waste time with other people and small talk when you could talk about anything you wanted with Jin. You relied on him for more than you thought you did.
