Nightmare and Dream had always watched out for each other. They always promised to keep each other safe no matter what and that was a promise they'd never break. Then one day, Dream notices Nightmare hadn't left his room all day so of course, Dream goes to check on Nightmare to see if he was alright but Nightmare only had a passive form. But what happens if he sees that Nightmare legitimately somehow became a toddler again and now Dream had no choice but to raise Nightmare no matter how difficult it would be as well as maintaining his job of protecting the tree of feelings, protecting everyone's hopes and dreams, and helping protect au's. Of course, Dream thought he could handle raising Nightmare but then again, he's never raised a kid before but what happens if raising Nightmare happens to be a much more difficult task than what Dream expected?
//I wanna be Nightmare for this. Also, this doesn't specifically have a ship. It's more like Dream's struggles of raising Nightmare whom can be a nice kid sometimes but can also be a complete jerk at times. And it's just like Dream is just trying his best to raise Nightmare.
