Dream had always strongly disliked how aggressive his brother was now that he was corrupted. He knew there was still a chance to get his brother back. But he didn't exactly know how. Ink of course, was tired of Nightmare's behavior so he suggested they trap Nightmare in DreamFell for a few months or a year. Since Dream didn't know how bad of a place that is, he of course agreed, thinking it could help get his brother back to the way Nightmare used to be. Of course, it was hard to trap Nightmare in one place but ink managed to figure out a way to trap Nightmare there for half a year. But after half a year is over, when ink would go to get Nightmare from DreamFell, he'd be surprised to see Nightmare was finally back in passive form but what happens if Nightmare was traumatized to the point he legit clung to ink and was refusing to leave anyone's side as long as they weren't from that au? What if Dream and ink regret ever sending Nightmare there?
