Ever since that attack Nightmare did on Dream when Nightmare got first corrupted, Dream had been a stone statue since the attack turned him into a stone statue to which he was trapped as with his soul trapped inside. However, after Nightmare did that attack, he left the au, so he never got the chance to see Dream actually turn into a stone statue nor did he know what that attack would actually do to Dream. Over the years that passed after that, he still had no idea that Dream was a stone statue since well, he never returned to Dreamtale. But one day, he finally managed to get back to passive form! Oh, he was so excited! He could go back home to Dream, right?... But... How would he react to finding Dream as the stone statue?... How would he react to it being his fault?... What if he sees ink was having to take the time to protect the tree that was somehow back rather than Dream protecting the tree? What if ink tells Nightmare what Nightmare had done to Dream when Nightmare had attacked Dream that one time? Would Nightmare ever be able to free Dream from the stone prison he was trapped in?
