Nightmare (passive) had always been protective of his dear younger twin brother, Dream. Dream meant basically the entire world to Nightmare and Nightmare would do anything to keep Dream safe. The two brothers always took good care of each other as well. They also promised to always keep each other safe. One day however, Nightmare noticed that Dream didn't show up to help guard the tree. And when Nightmare checked for him at their house, he wasn't there either. Of course, Nightmare was worried as hell when he couldn't find his younger twin anywhere but he never could imagine anything bad to have happened to him. After all, Dream's positivity was still in the au! That meant Dream was still alive, right?? Right??? Every day, Nightmare waited for Dream to return but, Dream never did. But how would Nightmare react if he gets given the news from Ink that Dream's cape, crown, and staff had been found as well as Dream's dust?... How would Nightmare react to the fact that Dream was gone and that now, Nightmare was the only guardian left?...
