Ever since the day Cross met Nightmare (passive form), he's had a massive crush on Nightmare. Dream very well knew that Cross had a massive crush on Nightmare but Dream didn't know how much Nightmare strongly hated Cross. Cross had tried on multiple different occasions to ask Nightmare out but he got rejected every time. Then on valentines day, he tried extra hard to just at least impress Nightmare but Cross always seemed to 'mess' it up in some sort of way. Then Dream started noticing Nightmare was quite literally becoming hostile towards Cross anytime Cross tried asking Nightmare out. Cross tried every day to get Nightmare to love him though but what if one day...Cross stops trying to get Nightmare to love him?... What if Cross starts just isolating himself from everyone else? What if even Nightmare starts worrying about Cross?
