Nightmare (passive form) had always been protective of his younger twin brother, Dream. Nightmare didn't like Dream spending time with people that Nightmare hardly knew or with people Nightmare didn't trust. So, if Dream wanted to spend time with anyone he liked even if Nightmare disliked, he'd have to sneak out at night to spend time with them. Dream however, had particular interest in Cross so Dream and Cross started dating. Of course, Nightmare didn't know about this since Dream and Cross kept their relationship a secret, especially since Nightmare absolutely HATED Cross. Then, after Cross and Dream had secretly been dating for about a year, what happens if when Dream thought Nightmare wouldn't be home for a few days, Nightmare ends up coming home early and ends up walking in on Dream and Cross in the middle of having their first time together?
