Chapter 66 - Big News

The boys of Vortex sat on the leather chairs as JYP sat infront of them along with some other staff members and beside them, their managers. JYP's assistants handed out folders again and pens as JYP started to speak, "As you all know, we have debuted The NiziU already and they have done well in the Japanese charts. And as you know Vortex is supposed to be our heavy new weaponry against newer debuted boy groups." JYP said as the presentation slide shown some pictures of NiziU which made Y/n lift an eyebrow "We have spent money to buy 5 of the highest known Prodigies in the industry today and I cannot wait to debut them," JYP said smiling towards the five who bowed their heads "So, in 3 months, Vortex will officially debut. The schedules and all your contracts are in the folder given to you." JYP said as Y/n and the others started reading the contracts "Some of you may or may not know, Y/n, Bang Chan and a couple different producers had worked together to make their first Mini album." J.Y Park said as he looked at Y/n. It was obvious he was taken a back by the sudden decision J.Y Park had made, his eyebrows were raised and his mouth had formed an 'O' shape. "Now you five need to prepare for your debut, M/V makings and some shows you are going to perform in. So I want you five to do your best." J.Y Park said smiling at the five who nodded a bit "Now I'm going to be playing all of the 5 Songs they have refined in the passing month." J.Y Park said as their new song the 7th sense started to put into the room as they signed the contract. Suddenly one of the staffs raised their hand, "Yes? You have a question?" J.Y Park said as the staff member stood up "I've heard the songs of GOT7 and Straykids but this song seems to not have that special JYP sound sir, I don't know if this would be a good debut song." The staff said as they furrowed their eyebrows, Y/n glanced nervously at J.Y Park as he flipped through the pages of his contract. "No it doesn't have the authentic JYP sound, but this is the authentic Vortex sound and this is going to be their first stepping stone so I'll let this be." J.Y Park said as he stared at the staff who slowly got back on their seat. Y/n and the others were glancing at each other, this was once again big news for them. The emotion and news sunk in a slowly as they read the fine prints of the contract, Debuting to them was a blessing and a curse they were preparing for.

They knew that debuting will have it's pro's and con's but they were starting to learn how to cope with both sides of the coin. The news sunk in finally as they wrote their signature on the papers as they put down the pens. They weren't expecting to debut in such a short notice but they were going to commit to their decisions. Y/n leaned against the leather chair as he pressed his lips together forming a thin line, he was more anxious than any of the members. He knew he was a good performer, he knew he had a good personality, he knew that he had gone through countless nights and days to debut, but he still didn't know his worth. He was a bit dazed from the news but he kept an open mind as he listened to the details of their debut. The therapist he had was helping him quite a bit, the voices that would keep him up at night sometimes had not returned yet, and his PTSD was getting a bit better but his therapist was pushing him to tell her what events would have traumatized him as a child. He didn't know how to respond and kept silent for a few minutes before she dropped the conversation and ended their session. Y/n was better, emotionally and mentally, although this did cost him some valuable training time he got through it. Y/n was sweating a bit under his suit as he looked at the presentation that was flashing infront of him, swallowing a wad of spit as his anxiety was high. He bit his finger as he slowly calmed down. His small quick breaths turned to long deep breaths, his heart rate slowed down, and his anxiety calmed down a bit. This was his number one way of coping with anxiety or the bad voices, self harm, or in this case biting his finger with increasing pressure until his heart rate normalises. Y/n focused on the presentation again as he shifted a bit.

Inside the new dormatory of ITZY, the girls were starting to settle down. The moving company did an exquisite job carrying their belongings to the new dormatory. The dorm was quite spacious, they each had a bedroom and a bathroom, a dining room that lead into the kitchen and beside that is the living room. The walls were a beautiful ivory white, with a minimalistic look that stood out in more ways than one. Their beautiful couch was decorated with some pillows and plushies they received from the fans, the TV mounted on the wall and underneath it a sleek white cabinet with many drawers and slots. Each of them were assigned their own rooms and they were all tired from unpacking their luggages and their personal belongings into the new dormatory. They were all slumped against the sofa, as they were watching a random movie playing.

"Ugh, moving all of our own boxes to the rooms felt like hell" Yeji said as she stretched her arms out into the air.

"I know right? I'm gonna be sore tommorow." Lia said as she leaned her head against Ryujin's shoulder.(let my Ryulia heart live on..)

"You're both just old." Chaeryeong said as she was on her cellphone checking some photos on Instagram.

"Yah, Chaeryeong ah, I'm older than you." Yeji said pointing a finger at Chaeryeong.

"Don't mind her Noona, she's at that time of the month." Yuna said pulling Yeji's arm down as she looked at Chaeryeong.

"Whatever, anyways. Did anyone get to advance with Y/n?" Yeji asked with an eyebrow raised.

"I got a date with him soon, I hope he know where to pick me up. Did you tell him Lia noona?" Yuna said as she leaned her head on her hand.

"What? Why me? I thought it was Ryujin." Lia said pointing at Ryujin.

"I thought Chaeryeong was texting Y/n the details." Ryujin said turning to Chaeryeong.

"I thought Yeji would talk to him so I didn't text him." Chaeryeong said sitting up from her seat staring at Yeji.

"I thought Yuna and Y/n were hanging out secretly again so I thought she told Y/n." Yeji said as she stared at Yuna.

"Wait so you're telling me no one told Y/n that we were moving?" Lia asked as they all looked at each other.

"Oh shit."
