REGGIE'S POV
"Chill, man. Street dogs haven't killed us yet" I chuckle as Alex talks about the strange taste of our food.
Suddenly I start having a convulsing feeling in my stomach. That's when Alex doubles over in pain, shortly followed by Luke. "What the hell is wrong with us?" Luke moans in pain on the ground.
That's when I pass out and everything goes black.
(FYI NEVER REALLY PAID ATTENTION DURING GREYS ANATOMY SO I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT DOCTORS OR MEDICAL ISH)
"We're losing him" I hear a woman's voice say as I open my eyes to a white ceiling. "Where-" I get cut off by a doctor running over to me. "This one is awake. Son can you tell me your name"
"Where are the guys," I say not thinking about myself at the moment. "They are fine. What's your name" I choke on my words, why won't the doctor tells me. Are they ok? "Reggie uh I mean Reginald Peters," I say as the pain starts becoming unbearable.
As I lay in my hospital bed I look over to my left and see Alex and Luke. Luke is conscious but struggling. The doctors need to hold him down. My doctor keeps asking me questions but I can only focus on the scene happening to my left.
That's when it happens. I hear a sound I've only ever heard on TV...
Flatline
"NO ALEX" Luke shouts in pain as he pushes the doctors off of him. "NO" I cry out as one of my best friends is now gone. Luke is fighting back, trying to reach for Alex's hand, but the beds are too far apart.
This isn't fair. Alex always talked about how he didn't trust the food out of that car but we never listened to him.
"Kid please calm down or els-" Luke's doctor jumps into action as Luke passes out and his heart rhythm starts fluctuating. "Please no. No NO NO LUKE" I yell as I watch my other best friend start dying in front of me. I've never screamed like this before. The way my voice cracks makes this hard to bear.
I start hearing a woman yelling my name. That voice. It's so familiar yet so distant. It sounds like an echo. Yelling for me to get up. But I ignore it, not when Luke is like this.
Tears are streaming down my face "Reggie, Son please calm down. You saw what getting worked up did to your friend" My doctor says as someone comes to hold me down. "NO No no n-" I scream as I slowly fall into the dark.
As my vision goes black I hear my heart rhythm beating and slowly fading away to nothing.
"REGGIE WAKE UP" Flynn yells as I shoot up in bed. Tears are streaming down my face as Flynn holds me in her arms. "Just a nightmare. I'm fine" I cry as Flynn comforts me.
"You are not fine, You don't need to lie to me. Take your time" She says rubbing my hair. I lie in her arms for the next hour or so in silence. "Do you want to talk about it?" Flynn says as she lays down on her back, my head rested on her chest.
"It was about when we died. Except it was different. Alex died first, That actually happened. But I went last when it was Luke who went last in real life" I say. Luke never talks about those couple of minutes after I died, now I understand why he wouldn't.
"Well, you are safe now. You aren't going to die anytime soon" This comforts me.
