You weren't a huge fan of hockey, more of a baseball kind of girl, but you were still surprised when Sidney Crosby asked you out on a date. Everyone in Pittsburgh knew who he was.

"Um. Yeah. Of course." You managed to say when he asked you. You gave him your number and he called you the next day, asking you when you were free.

When the time set, you started freaking out, pacing around your apartment.

"There's a draft in the apartment because of you." Your roommate said from the couch.

"I'm going on a date with Sidney Crosby and what do you wear on a date with Sidney Crosby? How am I supposed to act?"

"Calm down. Let's go shopping downtown. It's not like either of us have anything to do right now." You grabbed your bags and started walking.

"What about this one?" She held up a chevron striped maxi dress.

"No I don't really like that one."

"This one?" She pulled out another maxi dress, this one was a neon coral that was almost two pieces. There were strips of fabric, criss-crossed to hold the skirt and the top together.

"Yeah, let me try that one on." You grabbed the dress from her, asking one of the workers to get you a dressing room. Once you got it on, you realized you had to buy it. The dress fit perfectly and made your tan skin look even darker.

"What about shoes?" Your roommate asked.

"I have the perfect pair of sandals at home."

As soon as you got home, you showered and started to curl your hair then did your makeup. There was less than an hour until he would pick you up.

"You look great! He's obviously going to fall for you."

The bell rang and you grabbed your clutch before opening the door, "Hi, Sidney."

"Have her home by midnight!" Your roommate called out, causing Sid to laugh.

"I'll make sure she isn't late."

He brought you to a fancy italian restaurant that overlooked the river. It was beautiful and romantic, making you even more nervous. Small talk over a few glasses of wine took up most of the time not spent eating.

After dinner, he took you on a walk by the river. It was a beautiful night and you were happy with the way the date was going.

"It's getting late, I should probably get you home so your roommate won't yell at me."

He walked you up to your door, taking forever to say goodnight.

"So does this mean I can call you tomorrow?"

"Yes, it does." You stood on the tips of your toes to kiss his cheek before going inside. Your first date with Sidney Crosby had been a success.
