"Baabe." You drug out. "Will you come and get me? I'm at the bar."
"I know where you are. I'll be there in a minute."
He wasn't going to be happy picking you up at midnight. There were cabs for things like that. But he was always there for you.
"Say my name, say my name." You practically yelled, making your boyfriend laugh. "When no one is around you say baby I love you."
"You are something else." Zach shook his head as he helped you into the house. "I was going to get almost ten hours of sleep and my inebriated girlfriend ruined it."
"Ah yes but you love me."
"When you're sleeping. Except sometimes, you snore."
"Oh shut up." You said, popping the 'p'.
"Come on now, let's get you into something to sleep in and get you in bed."
"Wait." You stopped, covering your mouth. "Detour."
He held your hair back like he had so many times before, waiting until you needed to brush your hair and drink a few glasses of water.
"Aspirin?"
"Please." You sat against the tub. What you really wanted to do was curl up on the cold tile, but you knew you'd have to go to your bed eventually.
"Here you go." He handed you a couple pills and some water before leading you to bed and giving you a t-shirt to sleep in.
"I love you."
"Thank you for picking me up."
"That's what I'm here for."
