Since you didn't really specify, I kinda took this idea and ran. Let me know if you want something different!

But like I'm torn because the rivalry with UND is real, but I love my Canucks prospects.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You were sitting at a fire, drinking your spiked coke when someone came to sit down next to you.

"I'm Brock."  You took another sip, looking him over. You raised a brow and went back to staring at the fire. "What? You're not going to talk to me?"

"We're at a fire full of random people. I know maybe two. My best friend drug me here with her boyfriend, telling me I need to meet someone. The first person that talks to me is a member of two teams I really can't stand."

"Ahh. Can you get past that?"

"Canucks? Yes. UND? No. I'm a Bison 'til the day I die."

"They don't even have a hockey team."

"Hey do me a favor and go grab the bottle of Captain and another coke. Then we can have this conversation." He did what you asked, grabbing a coke for himself, and sat down next to you.

"Why don't you go to the U?"

"I could ask you the same question. Minnesota is arguably the best hockey team in the US, competing with a couple others every year. But you're in NoDak for some ungodly reason." You took a swig, straight out of the bottle before actually mixing another drink in your bottle.

"Parents met at UND. I grew up watching their hockey." You laughed, typical reason to go to UND if you weren't from the area.

The moment you hated about fires was coming up. Some dumbass brought a guitar and they all wanted you to sing. Some guy you couldn't remember the name to was walking towards you and you knew just what he want.

"No. Not tonight, I'm having a conversation and a drink."

"What does he want?"

"You've gotta hear this girl's voice. It's unreal."

Brock looked to you, hoping you would spill just a little but of your story. "Okay so I like to sing. Once I'm done in North Dakota, I'm heading to Nashville."

"Well then you have to sing."

"Show me yours, I'll show you mine."

"I'll take you skating tomorrow."

"You got a deal."

He was cute, not to mention a distance relationship. Close enough to see every weekend, but far enough away where you didn't have to worry about him taking up your time.

"No guitar. Just a nice beat." You nodded along, figuring out the timing and when it was just right, "I know everybody wants you, that ain't no secret. Hey baby what's your status. And tell me are you tryin' to keep it? Well they can all back off, cause I know what I want."
