For @smad101
Not the puppy proposal you wanted, but I hope you enjoy it.

Also, the day someone requests the guy I went to grade school with (is in the WHL) I will delete and stop writing. That is weird and this is weird but idk.

"Why are you out here?" A voice startled you, almost causing you to fall into the water.

"How did you find me?"

"Your brother told me this is where you go when you're upset."

"Upset is an understatement." You mumbled, letting one of your legs hang off the rock and move in the cold, lake water.

"I can understand that."

"Shut up, Will." You snapped. The guy that was supposed to protect you from being hurt. Your best friend. Left you and didn't look back.

And now you were here.

"I want to be alone and that's why I'm here. Alone."

"Listen, I'm sorry. I should've called-"

"You were supposed to be my best friend. Keep me away from guys that were bad for me." You pulled your sweatshirt over your hands, wiping your eyes.

"I'm sorry he hurt you, but I can't do anything besides be here for you." You shook your head.

You didn't want to see him. You didn't want to hear him. You wanted him to go back to Toronto and not talk to you.

"You know that girl I was with around Christmas time? The one I brought home?" You nodded your head. "I didn't break up with her. She left me for some other player."

"That's shitty Will."

"But she's not the one I want. The girl I want laughs at inappropriate times. Loves the Flames with all her heart. Could sing any Reba song on the spot. Love horror movies. Never was afraid to play with the boys when she was little. The one I'm looking at right now." You laughed, not believing him.

"Do me a favor and stop getting my hopes up and leave."

"I'm not leaving until you do."

You say there until your feet started hurting from the cold water, then waded back to shore to get your converse and leave.

"I'm sorry I just left. But you had to have known it was coming." He stood in front of you, not letting you get around him.

"I knew it was coming but I didn't think my best friend would leave without a single word." You said between clenched teeth, trying to keep the tears from falling and keep your balance while putting on your shoes.

"Can I make up for it?" He steadied you before you face planted into the rocks. You looked up at him, refusing to give in. "Fine. I'll take matters into my own hands."

He grabbed your face, pressing his lips against yours. You gave into him after a few seconds, melting with his touch.

"You think a kiss can fix everything that happened?"

He smirked, "No but it's a start."
