It was never going to happen, or so you thought. You started a twitter campaign to get one of the local AHL players to go to prom with you. You thought it was impossible but it happened.
You were going to prom with Nicolas Aube-Kubel.
As soon as you found out you were on the search for a perfect dress and shoes to match.
He ended up making all the reservations. You would be taking pictures with your friends but he wanted to go all out for dinner and he was able to do that.
"I can't believe this is happening."
"I like a girl with confidence and determination. Plus that power point was, well, on point." The two of you laughed.
"Hey, I had to convince you somehow. That was the best way to explain my best qualities."
"And that you did."
You got a little drunk in the limo ride to the venue, you danced until you could barely move, and overall just really enjoyed Nic's company and the way he treated your friends.
It ended up being the perfect night and the start to a great relationship.
