You stood at his doorway, not wanting to go inside because of what you were going to say to your boyfriend.
"I'm sorry, I just. We're so perfect in some aspects but in reality we aren't. I'm breaking up with you, Mat."
"What?"
"I'm sorry. Blame it all on me. I just can't do this anymore, you deserve someone that's going to reciprocate your love and I just can't do that right now. You're looking for love and I'm not the person who's going to give it to you. I still have so much love for you and I still care for you. I'm sorry." You apologized one last time before leaving his house.
It hurt. You wanted to love him like he loved you but you can't.
You managed to get home before the tears started. All you wanted was to be that girl who could give him all he wanted, but you couldn't. That tore you apart for weeks before you finally decided to let him go.
Your roommates all gave you a hug before breaking out the wine. You didn't want to, but you were going to cry this one out.
