"I'm bringing a friend over so you know, wear clothes." Matt tried yelling over your music, but you ignored him and kept painting. He got mad that you never wore a shirt around the house, a sports bra was good enough for you.

You finished the piece you were working on and set it down next to the others. Lately, all your paintings had been dark and while you thought it was normal, your brother thought it was something to worry about. Then again, he was a little more protective than the usual brother.

"I'm fine, Matty." You told him.

"Tell me what's going on."

"Matty." You whined.

"You need to tell me when something is going on."

"I will."

You thought about what happened the other day. You understood why he was acting this way, but he was getting to be overbearing. You went to live with him over the summer to get away from everything that happened back in your hometown for a while.

"Matty.." You called down the hall, pulling your hair into a bun. When you finally hit the den, there were four guys sitting on the couches stuffing food in their mouths.

"Clothes!" Your brother yelled.

"I have pants on. Good enough."

"That's surprising." He mumbled. There was a pause in the game and everyone turned to stare at you in just a sports bra. You locked eyes with blonde haired boy sitting next to my brother. Someone asked you a question but you stumbled over your words, not being able to look away from the ice blue eyes staring at you.

"Hey. Hey!" Matt threw a pillow at you, trying to get your attention. "Ryan is talking to you."

"I- I- Uhh.. I- Need a shirt." You pretty much ran back to the room you were staying in, grabbing one of your old sweatshirts.

You walked to the kitchen to grab a drink before going back to your room and drowning out the football game with a little bit of Hoodie Allen.

"Ain't it fun." You cleaned up the clothes on your floor while dancing around.

After a while, you were back at the easel, painting. Again.

"Did you do all of this yourself?" The voice caused you to drop my brush and almost fall off the stool.

"Oh shit I'm sorry." The blonde haired boy steadied you and picked up the item you had dropped before introducing himself. "I'm Gabe."

"Yeah. I uh, painted all these. It's pretty much all I do. Especially now that I'm in Denver." He walked around, studying all the canvases you had lying around.

"These are amazing."

"Thanks." You mumbled, trying to hide you pink cheeks.

"Duchene said he had a younger sister that liked to paint, but he never said you were this good." He sat down on your bed and started talking to you about your art. Apparently he didn't care about the game, because he had no intentions of leaving your room.

"Landy, we're going." Someone yelled down the hall.

"I should probably go," He stood up and stretched, causing a little bit of skin to be shown above his waist band. "But, I want to see you again. Why don't we go to dinner or a museum or something this weekend?"

"You want to date Matt Duchene's weird 19 year old sister?" You looked at him in disbelief.

"Yeah, yeah I do."

"It sounds like fun."

The two of you walked out to the front of the house.

"I'll get your number from Matt then."

"Like hell you will." Your brother ushered his friends out the door and turned to face you. He gave you the look and you couldn't help but giggle and blush. "You are not going to date my teammate."

"Oh yes I am." You sang and skipped back to your room to paint with colors that weren't black or dark blue.
