Enjoy. I'll hopefully be able to get all of these out by the time I leave for Pittsburgh :)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was the first time that you would be leaving your daughter alone with Jonathan. You had to make an emergency trip home and weren't able to bring her along. Jon was okay with that. One of the wives said that she would help babysit when he has practice or possibly the games, if I was gone that long.

You were sitting in the hospital, with your parents when your boyfriend called you.

"She's sick." He didn't let you speak. His voice was shaking, you could tell he was on the brink of crying.

"What? What's wrong?" You stood up, covering your mouth. You parents both looked at you with worried eyes, but you wouldn't tell them what was going on until after you got off the phone with Jonny.

"She has a fever, she won't eat or sleep, and she's crying. I don't know what to do."

"Can you call the team doctor?"

"Uh, yeah. Yeah I can."

"Do that and if he's busy, go to the emergency room." You hung up the phone, going to sit back by your mother. You doubled over, head between your knees, and tried to breathe.

"What's wrong?" Your dad rubbed your back, trying to calm you down.

"My baby girl is sick and I can't be there." You were also on the verge of tears, as if your grandmother being in the hospital wasn't hard enough.

Jonathan was texting you as soon as he got off the phone with the Blackhawks doctor.

She won't stop crying.
I just want her to feel better.
She's so upset.
He isn't coming fast enough.
She just wants you.
I want you.

You had to stop looking at his texts. You were worried enough yourself. Then he called.

"Jonny? Is she okay?"

"He said he thinks it's just a virus,  babies can get them easily. Or that's what he said. I'm giving her a bath, seeing if that calms her down, but he does want me to bring her to the pediatrician on Monday morning."

"Monday morning? Okay. I can make it back by then."

"Stay as long as you need, babe. I'll ask Abby who they used for a babysitter and see if she is available. If not, I'll stay home from practice. Especially if she's sick."

"No, she should be getting out of the hospital soon. If things go wrong, I'll come back."

"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow. I love you."

"I love you too."
