"Are you sure?" He asked for the 100th time.
"Yes. Let's just get takeout and hang out at the house. It's not that big of a deal." It was Valentine's Day and you just wanted to stay in. You go out all the time and there just wasn't a reason to act like you love each other more on some stupid day in February.
"Okay, whatever the Queen wants."
"Damn straight."
He ordered from UberEats. Probably too much, but you didn't mind. You had been having cravings for a while now.
"If today is the 14th.. Oh shit."
"What?"
"I'm late. Like, two months late." Work had been stressful and Sid's games had you going constantly so you barely noticed.
"Guess I'm going to grab an EPT?" He had already grabbed his jacket and was trying hard to hide his smile.
"I'll start drinking something."
You split from the living room, going your different ways. You were nervous. The two of you had been dating for over a year, but weren't actually engaged or married.
Sidney came home right when you thought your bladder was going to burst. You did the thing and waited for those two pink lines.
"Well, I don't care if it's a boy or girl. I just want it to be a human."
"NHL or NWHL? Sounds like a good gender reveal party idea."
