The nursery was ready for your baby boy to arrive next week, but Beau was not.
"It's going to be fine." You tried to reassure him. He wasn't understanding that everything was going to be okay. "Beau, you are going to make a great father. It's going to be fine."
"What if I drop him?"
"It's a child, Beau. Not a glass plate. He will survive." Your husband went off about all the bad things that could happen and you just rolled your eyes. He wasn't going to stop any time soon, so you gave up.
"Where are you going?"
"To cuddle with my pregnancy pillow since you're having a breakdown." You laughed and started up the stairs.
"I am not." He huffed, right as your water broke.
"Just kidding, honey. We're having a child."
He rushed you to the hospital, holding your hand the entire time. Three hours of a hard labor later, your little boy was in your arms.
Beau cried when he held him for the first time, it wasn't that surprising. "Welcome to the world, baby boy Bennett."
