You had never been on a date before. A proper date, that is. The cliché romantic dinner or the dancing under the stars. You hadn't even been kissed in the rain. It was something you couldn't do with your current girlfriend anyway — unless it was the dinner.

As much as you loved your romantic little vampire, you felt bad for not being able to give her the fantasies she desired. The kiss in the pouring rain — she could be harmed a lot easier since she'd be cold. The dancing under the stars? Kind of difficult during winter. That left her third and least favorite, a romantic dinner.

It upset you to know the one thing you could do for her, was also her least favorite type of date. You wanted her to enjoy it — you wanted the both of you to enjoy it — and she couldn't do that if she hated it. That's why you were currently searching through the many books she had in your shared room, trying to find a date idea that she would enjoy and could do. Your search was stopped when Cassandra entered the room and tapped your shoulder, making you nearly jump out of your skin.

"Christ, Cass! I'm going to put a fucking bell on you." You whisper-yelled, glaring at her giggling form.

"I could just swarm out of it." She smirked, glancing behind you to the pile of romantic books. "Don't tell me Dani actually got you to read those..."

"No—! I'm... I want to take her on a date but, all of the ones she loves we can't do. Since you know, weak to the cold..." You pouted, staring at the ground. "And I've never been on a date before either so, I don't know what to do."

She stayed silent for a moment, causing you to look up and be met with her baffled face. It amused you to see it but, you knew why it was there. She knew of your extensive history of lovers, and her face confirmed that she thought at least one of them had taken you on a proper date. Her gaze made you fidget, your cheeks heating up drastically.

"I-It's lame, I know..." You whispered, gently biting the inside of your cheek. "I've been in countless relationships and now I'm dating a hopeless romantic and I have no idea what to do. She deserves the best, but I'm not sure I can give that to her in terms of a first date..."
