Cassandra POV

I held Isa's arms down while Daniela sat in their lap, their tail lashing angrily as they glared at the door behind Bela. 'Hunter said they weren't going to like this, but I didn't expect them to be so angry about it. [Y/N] will live.' Isa stopped moving after a moment, a low growl rising in their throat while their body started glowing. 'That's not good.'

"Off." The castle shook at their command, making Daniela shudder but shake her head.

"Just give it-."

"OFF!"

"No, Firebug."

Isa glared and growled at Daniela, their tail slowly lifting — as if preparing to strike. "Now."

Daniela's eyes shifted to their tail, the hurt on her face making Isa's tail droop. "You'd seriously attack me? Don't you trust us?"

"I do! I don't trust the cadou," Isa spat the word in disgust. "It's already killed them! I can save them! Now get up!"

"Just wait a bit longer. Please."

Isa went silent after that, allowing Daniela to cup their cheeks. They seemed to calm down after that — even if slightly — before Bela moved from in front of the door, catching their attention. When Mother Miranda left the operating room, Isa let out a hiss and tried to lunge at her, causing Daniela to wrap her arms around them just to stay in their lap.

My grip tightened when they tried again, earning a pained yelp from the demigod. Mother Miranda gave us a solemn look and shook her head, only fueling Isa's anger as tears slid down their cheeks. 'But... We did so many tests... [Y/N] should've lived...' My grip loosened, and Isa managed to break free, setting Daniela next to them gently before lunging at Mother Miranda.

Vines caught them before they could reach her, baffling everyone in the room. 'Mom wouldn't do that... So who's stopping Isa?' My eyes landed on a woman with brown hair and an aura of divinity, making me look away immediately. 'Definitely a goddess... But not one I've met. Who is she?' The goddess stepped toward Isa and whispered something in their ear, making them walk back to Dani and me.

"Please hold," The goddess smiled before disappearing into the operating room.

"Isa... Who's that?"

"That is Queen Freyja," Isa sighed as they took their seat. "One of the only gods I won't challenge when they order me around."

"Why not?"

"Queen of the Valkyries. Rather not be on her bad side."

"That's fair," I muttered and wrapped my arms around their neck. "Is she going to save them?"
