Valentine's day. It was the perfect day for your girlfriend. She had been talking about it since the new year -- always saying how she was so excited to spend the entire weekend with you considering the fact that her mother had already agreed to give you the weekend before Valentine's day off. Now that it was the Saturday before Valentine's day, you were allowed to sleep in until breakfast was ready. That also meant that your girlfriend was currently huddled into you with her face buried in your neck.

You shifted slightly and a low growl left her, simply earning a laugh from you. Daniela was so used to you getting up early to go to work that when you didn't pry her off of you, she pulled away from your neck slightly and gave you a confused and sleepy gaze. You simply pecked her lips before pulling her closer to you, smiling at her giggle and her grip tightening on you.

A few minutes went by before a knock was heard at the door, followed by a maid saying that breakfast was nearly ready. Daniela groaned and got out of bed, slowly changing into her normal dress -- clearly wanting to give you a show before breakfast. You let out a soft growl once she was dressed, enjoying the view of the morning sun on her porcelain skin.

"If only we were engaged, you wouldn't have to work and you'd see that more often." Daniela giggled, watching you get out of bed.

"If I could find a ring worthy of you, I'd propose immediately." You promised, getting changed into casual clothing for once since working at the castle.

"You look so cute!"

Daniela had completely ignored your response to her and cupped your cheeks, peppering kisses on your face. You began giggling and tried to pull away from her, trying to get out that the two of you should head for breakfast. She continued her assault for a few more minutes before ending it with a peck to your lips, her giggles sounding like music to your ears. The two of you left your room and began walking to the dining hall, fingers interlocked as you rested your head on her shoulder.

You began wondering why she ignored your response, knowing very well that your girlfriend of three years always wanted to get married -- especially to you. By the time the two of you made it to the dining hall, the thought was completely out of your head. Not because you stopped caring but, because you assumed she'd wait for you to find the perfect ring for her. It only made you want to find one soon, just to make Valentine's day even better for her.

After breakfast with the family, the two of you headed to the library, Daniela saying that she has a surprise for you there. It confused you, considering the fact that you had cleaned the library just last night and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Once you reached your destination, she told you to close your eyes and stay still until she said otherwise -- and so, you did. You heard her enter the library and move about, patiently waiting for her to tell you to open your eyes and come in.

But, that never happened. Instead, a hand covered your mouth and pulled you away. Once you stopped moving, your eyes flew open and glared at Daniela's older sisters. You thought they were over this by now but, it appeared that wasn't the case.

"Before you get mad at us," Bela started, motioning towards the Duke whom you had failed to notice was in the room. "Take a look at his inventory. This is the last time he'll be here before Valentine's day and, we want you to propose to Dani soon."
