"Well, what do we have here?" A purr came from the darkness, making me stop just outside Kronos's bedroom. "An assassin? The gods must be getting desperate."

I stepped back when a figure emerged from the shadows. Horns were the first thing I saw besides the gold eyes, a tail being the next. "Wh-who are you?"

"Don't recognize your old General, soldier?"

"...Isa?" My heart dropped when Isa's complete form came into view, making me nearly sob. "Everyone thought you were dead!"

"Oh, the gods wish I were," Isa's grin was sickly sweet and sent me into fight-or-flight mode. "You see, they wanted me killed — and they nearly succeeded. My grandfather has offered me immortality and gifted me knowledge. The gods can't win."

'They- THEY turned evil?!'

"...You're prettier than Sorana," They purred and stepped forward. "What would it take-?"

"Stay back!" I yelled and lifted my sword, cursing at the fact that I yelled while at the heart of the enemy's base.

Their grin widened and showed off sharp fangs. "Do you know what my powers entail?"

Isa's body burst into flames after their question, causing me to turn and run, my blood running cold. When I noticed the shadows getting closer, I turned down a different hall and silently prayed to the gods, begging them to ensure I wouldn't die. 'Now would be a great time for my powers to work!' I covered my face as I jumped out of the window at the end of the hall, praying my luck would work.

Water surrounded me as I jumped into the ocean — successfully avoiding the jagged rocks. 'Thank you for making sure I live, Mother.' I swam to the surface and looked around, gathering my bearings before swimming toward the southern part of the island. 'Now I just need to get back to Olympus with this information. It's still hard to believe that Isa switched sides.'

Once I reached land again, I turned on my back and sighed heavily. 'Their defenses without Isa were nearly impossible to get through; it'll take a miracle to get to Kronos now!' I groaned and closed my eyes, knowing I could not contact the other demigods. 'Communicator was never made to survive a drop like that — especially while in water the entire time.'

"Why the long face? You act like your mother isn't a goddess," The giggle of my mother made me relax and smile. "What did you learn?"

"Kronos has a new second in command," I frowned and let her help me stand. "...General Isa Black."

My Mother's blue eyes softened before she hugged me. "Your crush."

"Not anymore," I muttered, looking up at the castle. "...They recognized me. Even said I was prettier than their ex."

"...Maybe you'll be able to snap them out of this in the future. At least, we can hope."

Two Years Later

I followed the last demigods into the arena, glaring at the viewing platforms before turning my glare to the beings on the other side. 'Isa doesn't look right next to Kronos. They shouldn't be standing proudly at his side.'
