Three months. That's how long it had been since you had the chance to spend time with your girlfriend, Donna Beneviento. It's not that you hadn't tried — it's just difficult to get free time when you're a movie star and your girlfriend is a secluded lord of a Romanian village.

When you received the email that you'd have the late half of December free, you immediately booked a flight to Romania — opting to not tell Donna until you were almost there. Keeping in touch with Donna was easy, thankfully, but surprising her was always better. You were currently waiting for the plane to take off, the little box in your hand bringing a smile to your face as you opened it and revealed the diamond ring inside.

Fifteen Hours Later

You stretched as you walked to grab your luggage, a yawn slipping out of you while you grabbed the last of your bags. After you left the airport, you were greeted by Mother Miranda — her usual priestess attire nowhere to be found. It was odd seeing her dress so casually, but you were glad she did — brought less attention to you both.

When you were at her side, she turned and began walking — a silent instruction for you to follow her. Once you were safely out of sight of everyone, crows began flying around you both until all you could see other than them was Miranda. A few seconds later and said crows dispersed, revealing Donna's manor just across the driveway.

"Thank you," You whispered, knowing Miranda would hear it anyway. "I can't wait to see the look on her face."

"You repay me tenfold by being with Donna. Just continue making her happy and I won't mind the travel."

"So does that mean next time I can just ask you to come to my house and pick me up?"

"That's a privilege you'd only get as her wife."

"Then I hope she says yes tonight," You muttered with a smile, noticing the faint smile on Miranda's face. "We've been dating for years, I figured it was getting close to the right time."

"I had a hunch," Miranda chuckled before locking eyes with you. "Let me see the ring."

You fished the box out of your pocket and opened it, showing the simple diamond ring. Donna wouldn't want something over the top — it would get in the way of her work, and that was something you knew would upset her. Miranda's smile became a bit more noticeable before she disappeared in a whirlwind of crows, leaving you in Donna's driveway alone.

When you reached the front door, you could hear the shuffling of Donna rearranging her dolls, bringing a smile to your face as you knocked on the door. The movement paused momentarily before you heard the soft click of the lock — indicating she unlocked it for you. You smiled as she slowly opened the door, her gasp making you giggle.

Donna wrapped her arms around you in a tight hug, her face burying in your shoulder a moment later. Your arms snaked around her waist as you returned the hug, letting out a content sigh now that you were finally in her arms again. When she finally pulled away from the hug, you picked up your bags and followed her inside, smiling wider when she waited for you to remove her veil.

"Perfect," You breathed after removing the cloth and cupping her cheeks. "I've missed you."

"I've missed you too," She whispered before glancing toward your luggage. "You're staying for a while?"

"As far as I know, I'll be here for the rest of the month."

"Good," Donna sighed before connecting our lips in a kiss. "That means we don't have to rush."

The kiss remained soft and sweet, only separating when Angie cleared her throat. You chuckled as you separated from the kiss and sent Angie a smile, rolling your eyes when she settled into your arms. That was one thing you'd never grow tired of — the way Donna chose to express herself with Angie. It didn't mean she wanted the kiss to end, it just meant that she wanted to be held more. You couldn't blame her, it had been months since you were able to.

You followed Donna to the couch and sat down, letting her lay you down before she rested atop your body, her head resting on your chest. Once she was settled, she moved Angie to the table and let you wrap your arms around her, a content sigh leaving you. Donna traced random shapes onto your arm, smiling to herself as she did so.

'She's so adorable,' You thought as you watched her. 'I can't wait to propose.'

"[Y/N]?"

"Yes, my love?"

"When's your next movie?"

"I haven't received any calls or emails yet, this vacation might last longer than we think. Stop thinking ahead, let's focus on now."

"I know I shouldn't," Donna sighed as she moved her hand to yours. "But I don't like not knowing when you'll leave."

"Mi Amor," You whispered and kissed her head. "I will always let you know when I'll leave as soon as I find out. I've even asked my agent to get dates as soon as she can too so we know as soon as possible."

"Okay," She breathed and moved your hand to her lips, planting a soft kiss on the back of it. "Thank you."

"No need to thank me, it's the least I could do."

Donna giggled and the two of you stayed like that for what felt like an eternity — not that you minded. When Donna finally moved again, she muttered something about dinner — making you perk up and offer to cook. You took off your jacket and placed it around Donna's shoulders when she asked for it, smiling when she wrapped it tightly around her body.

When you made it to the kitchen, you took the box out of your pants pocket and set it to the side while you began dinner. Two hours went by before you finished dinner and set the table, putting the box in your pocket before returning to the lounge. Donna was asleep on the couch when you returned, bringing a smile to your face as you knelt down and gently shook her.

"Mi Amor," You whispered as she groaned and swatted your hand away. "Dinner is ready."

"Cuddle," Donna pouted when you shook her again, forcing you to hold in a laugh. "Dinner can wait."

"It'll get cold," You laughed as her eyes fluttered open. "We can cuddle more after dinner. I have something important to share with you anyway."

"You could've said that first," Donna whined when you helped her sit up. "Why didn't you say anything earlier?"

"The time wasn't right. You'll understand soon."

Donna nodded and leaned against you as you walked to the dining room, setting her down in the seat at the head of the table. Once she was situated, you got down on one knee and pulled out the small box, internally grinning when her yawn ended with a gasp. You slowly opened the box and showed her the ring, letting your gaze drift up to hers.

"Will you marry me?"

"Yes!"
