Thunder rumbled overhead — followed by the sky turning white from a flash of lightning — as the rain hammered down on you. You let out an annoyed sigh as you rushed toward a cave and held out your hand, as a purple, swirling orb appeared above your outstretched palm. The cloudiness of the orb dissipated and was replaced with the familiar scenery of the Underworld. You softly cleared your throat, and when you got no response — auditory or visual — you repeated the action. But louder.

"One more second, dear. I have to send this to 'Seph."

"I'm near the village," You muttered and glared outside of the cave when thunder rumbled again. "It's storming. Who's this Miranda woman you wanted me to meet anyway?"

"Someone I blessed years ago," Your mother hummed before coming into view, her white, wavy hair being pulled up and out of her face. "I just need you to check on her and... Oh, what was her name...? Alcina? I believe it was Alcina Dimitrescu."

"I didn't sign up to check on two people."

"As my child, yes you did."

"Whatever," You sighed and rolled your purple eyes. "Any children from those two that I need to worry about?"

"Alcina has triplets — all girls — so be careful of them. Miranda... She created her 'children' so Alcina counts as one. But no, not any that you'll encounter while checking on her."

"Why do I have to do this again?"

"You're the trustworthy one."

"Damn you for being the one to raise me and not my human father," You grumbled and turned your gaze back to outside the cave.

"...I'm going to bite my tongue when it comes to that human," Your mother growled through gritted teeth. "I'll have your favorite food ready for when you get home! So be on time for dinner."

"Yes, mother."

The orb disappeared soon after that and you left the cave, heading toward a giant castle. Figuring how large and imposing it was, it was safe to say it probably belonged to one of the people you were looking for. Once you reached the castle, you noticed someone through a window. She was laying on a, very nice, couch with her head lazily hanging over the arm of it, her black locks cascading freely.

You focused more on her and felt a tingling sensation in your fingers, watching as sparkles began to appear near the woman. She sat up instantly and stared in awe. You hummed in amusement before bringing your hand in front of you, using your powers to open a portal to the inside of the castle. When you stepped through, the woman on the couch's jaw dropped, her eyes going wide.

"Hello," You purposefully made your voice lighter, taking a mental note of her shudder. "I hope you don't mind me seeking shelter from the storm here."

"Not at all," The woman muttered mindlessly, her eyes taking in every inch of your body. "Who are you?"

"[Y/N], child of Hekate. And you?"

"Are you a witch?"

"Well, my mother is the goddess of witchcraft. Now, your name cutie?"
