----------

You walked through the halls with a stack of music sheets in your arms, a small smile on your face. It was finally your day off and the opera hall was already cleaned by the time you had woken up so, you decided to make your way there to practice both the piano and your singing. You glanced out of one of the windows as you walked, a frown tugging on your lips as you noticed the dark clouds rolling in. Buzzing and flies soon surrounded you as Daniela's giggles filled your ears, her arms wrapping around you while her giggles quieted down.

"Found you!"

"You were looking for me, my lady?" You whispered, head tilting out of curiosity.

"Mhm!" Daniela giggled, pulling you into the opera hall. "I know it's your day off but, do you think you could make sure we have warm blankets for tonight? Th-that's all you have to do and it can wait-."

"Lady Daniela, I'll do it. I noticed the clouds before you showed up, don't worry. You'll have warm blankets - all of you will."

"Thank you!"

Daniela began purring as she pulled you into another hug, causing heat to rush to your cheeks as you returned it. You always became flustered whenever she - or any Dimitrescu - hugged you and Daniela seemed to be the only one to notice it so, she went out of her way to hug you any chance she got. She let you pull away from the hug before planting a kiss on your forehead, motioning to the piano.

"I believe you were coming here anyway?"

"I was, my lady. Thank you." You bowed slightly, smiling until she left the opera hall.

Once she was gone, you made your way to the piano and set the music sheets on the music desk, taking a seat on the stool. You lifted the fall board and took a deep breath, placing your fingers on the keys before lifting your gaze to land on the sheet music. With another deep breath, you began playing the song, letting your fingers fly freely across the keys. Your nerves began to dissipate as you continued to play, a faint smile tugging at the corners of your lips.

It had been a long time since you played this piece - always finding new and more challenging ones instead but, today you wanted things to be simple. You had learned to play the piece long before you started working at the castle and it had been so long since you last played it that you were convinced one of the other maids had found it and thrown it out. Luckily, you found it this morning and it had made your day.

About halfway through the song, you heard a scream that made you freeze and your blood turn to ice. You quickly stood up, not caring that the stool fell down. The door to the opera hall opened and Cassandra stumbled in, gaining your attention and forcing you to rush to her side. You helped her to her feet and glanced at the door, letting her cling to you for warmth.
