I just stood there, frozen with tears in my eyes. Katrina looked over and scrunched her eyebrows at me.

"Scarlet? Are you okay?" She asked and walked over to me. I shook my head no and she pulled me into the house and into the kitchen so that there wasn't a crowd around me.

She pulled me in for a hug as I silently cried on her shoulder. After a few minutes I collected myself and she pulled away and put her hand on my shoulder.

"Corey didn't mean it sis... He-" she started but I shook my head. "It's not that-well I was a little upset about that but it's not it." I said and sniffled.

"Then what is it?" She asked as she pulled me to sit down on one of the bar stools.

"When I walked out, I was feeling better... That was until I heard a deep voice behind me say "hey crazy"." I said and looked down as she gasped and brought her hand to her mouth.

"I know it wasn't human by the way it sounded. It was deep, dark, and sounded like it was right next me." I said and sighed.

"I feel like I ruined the night..." I said as she shook her head. "You did no such thing Scar. You can't help your past and what triggers it." She said and took my hand.

"I guess you're right..." I looked up at her to see her smiling at me. "I'm always right, especially when it comes to that." She said and raised her eyebrows at me.

"Riiiiight..." I'm mumbled and she smirked. "Now, are you ready to party? Sam told me the others couldn't make it so it's just gonna be us. Oh! I also got the scoop!" She said and grinned as I raised my eyebrows.

"Do tell sister." I said. "Both Sam and Colby are single!" She said and giggled as I blushed.

I'm kinda glad that Colby is single because I kind of have a crush on him...

Katrina went wide-eyed. Dammit. She saw me blush. "Wait... Do you?..." She asked as I laughed and shook my head trying to play it off.

"No Katrina." She raised her eyebrows. "You totally do!" She yelled and did a happy dance as I blushed.

She started poking me and saying, "you like Colby!" Over and over. "Alright FINE! I like Colby...." I mumbled and looked down, blushing and trying not to smile.

I honestly can't believe that after only 2 weeks, I like him the way I do. We just get along so well and it's just different with him.

She giggled and cheered. "Yay! Okay, let's go back. They're probably worried." She said and grabbed my arm, pulling me into the backyard.

As soon as I walked out and close the door, everyone's attention snapped towards me and Corey instantly shot up and ran to me, wrapping me in a tight hug.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it... You aren't crazy I just-" Corey started but I stopped him and pulled away from the hug.

"Corey," I said and laughed. "It's fine. Plus that's not why I was freaked out." I said as everyone started to make their way over and Corey sighed in relief.

"Then why were you so upset when you came out?" Gus asked. "I heard some thing say "hey crazy" right behind me so I... Well... That was triggering..." I said as Gus pulled me in for a hug.

"But it's okay. Sorry for ruining the party..." I said after Gus pulled away. They all shook their heads.

"You didn't, we are glad you are here!" Sam said happily and smiled. "You're right, let's go have some fun!" I said and everyone cheered. "Wait, before we do I have something to tell you." Corey said as he directed us to the chairs.

We all sat down and waited for him to talk. "So I wanted to tell you why I didn't believe you at first. Well... It's not that I didn't believe you, I just thought it was crazy because there's this spirit that's attached to me that I call the shadow man and he's a tall black figure with a top hat, so it just took me by surprise. I didn't mean that you were crazy, I just meant that the situation was crazy. And again, it's not that I didn't believe you, I was just shocked that you saw the shadow man and described him."

He said as I nodded. "Wow... That's weird. And I totally understand. I don't blame you and I'm not upset. But let's forget about it all. I just wanna have a good time so let's party!" I said as everyone cheered again.

Honestly, I was still a little shaken up but I just wanted to let loose and have fun with my friends. So that's what we did.

We swam, ate pizza, played hide and seek, played truth or drink, drinking games, went into the hot tub, then we all settled down and watched movies.

I was really grateful because we didn't speak about anything that happened earlier.

We had a really good night... Until...
