3rd Person POV

In a room deep inside the labyrinth, many figures could be seen sitting around the round table. These people were the top brass, and the strongest members of the labyrinth. They had all been ordered to come to this meeting by Ramiris. Till now, there were a few chit-chats going around the table, but as soon as Beretta entered, everyone fell quiet.

"Ramiris-sama and Veldora-sama should be here in a few moments." Beretta said.
Hearing this, everyone sat in their chairs silently, contemplating the reason for this meeting. Many of them already had an inkling as to why this meeting was taking place, yet decided to remain silent.

"Yo. How's everyone?" Ramiris said as soon as she entered, but seeing the serious mood in the room, she refrained from any of her usual aloofness.

"Alright. Let's get to the point, the Empire is invading, and I have permission from Rimuru to do whatever I want inside the labyrinth."

After saying that, she proceeded to tell everyone what they had to. Effectively, every 1,000 soldiers were sent to floor 51 and above. Each guardian can fight anyone in their own floor. Meanwhile Equix and Bovix would make sure that any stragglers were killed. Also, the Demon Collosus would be used by Gadra. If he did well enough, he would be given the effective position. Also, once a person entered the labyrinth, he only had one way to go out, that is to defeat the master of the dungeon, aka, Veldora. But to fight Veldora, the challengers, or the Imperial Army, must defeat the Ten Lords of the labyrinth. After defeating each of the lord, they will obtain a key. Only after collecting all ten keys can they fight Veldora.

"That's all. So do your best everyone." Ramiris said
"Oh right. Me and my brother will be looking at you all so do your best."  Veldora said, unknowingly dropping a bombshell on the conversation.

"Rimuru-sama will?" Zegion asked. Seeing him speak, everyone was surprised. Zegion was not the one to talk unnecessarily. He speaks so less, that for some, this was the first time they had heard him speak.
"Umm. Yes. He did say so. Right mentor?"
"Yes. That's right. Rimuru is really looking forward to all of your performance."
"Then we must do our best."

These final words from Zegion marked the end of the meeting and beginning of the hell for the Imperial Army.

Meanwhile....

Calgurio was currently doubting his decision. A whole day has passed. Nearly 500,000 soldiers have already entered the labyrinth, yet no word from them was heard. With less than 200,000 soldiers with him, Calgurio felt as if something was wrong. Yet, he couldn't let this unease show on his face. If he did so, the morale would drop pretty quickly. They haven't received any reports from Gastar or Faraga either.

Some people started presenting their idea that they might have lost, but this was met with strong repercussion.

Inside the dungeon....

For the first day, the Imperial Army was enjoying themselves. They had to fight many monsters, some as strong as A-ranked ones, yet the payoff was worth it. They found quite a fair bit of treasures, including weapons, armors and even straight up gold bars. This kept the Imperial soldiers in high mood, for the last day of their lives.

Floor 51-60

The soldiers who were dropped in these floors could be considered the luckiest. They had to fight against tons of golems, which could regenerate at will. This made them difficult foes. For three days straight, the Imperial Army was stuck at floor 59, waiting for reinforcements. On day 4, they finally decided to challenge the demon Golem of floor 60. They had challenged it once before, but were met with a crushing defeat. But now? More than 6000 of the Imperial soldiers were here with many people who could even be stronger than A-rank adventurers. With confidence they strode through the labyrinth killing any and every Golem that had survived.

When the soldiers reached floor 60, they were ready for a life threatening battle. Yet that did not happen. What happened there could only be called slaughter. The demon collosus used technology even beyond what the Empire had. While slaughtering the soldiers, they could hear a familiar voice.

"You fools! You will all meet your end here. You shouldn't have gone against Demon Lord Rimuru."

This voice brought fear to the soldiers. Not because it was scary, bit because the soldiers realized who it belonged to. It was Gadra, the magic genius. No one in the East could even begin to compare to the magical information that Gadra had. Within an hour, all the soldiers who came to fight Gadra, met their end.

Floor 61-70

The soldiers who were dropped in these floors had to face an endless amount of undead. But, on the first day, they didn't have much trouble as they were all mindless monsters. But the soldiers here were not given a single moment to rest. Yet, the soldiers didn't falter. They were trained properly and were able to fight by taking turns. Upon meeting with other groups of soldiers, they had managed to map out nearly all the floors from 61 to 69. Yet, when they tried to delve deeper, they were stopped by a wall. A wall of bones. No matter how much it was  damaged, it would regenerate nearly instantly.

So, the soldiers decided to make a temporary base in front of the door while fighting any undead that might come close. But, their luck ran out on the second day.

On the second day, most of the soldiers had managed to reach the 69th floor. Just then, the doors slowly creaked open. The Imperial soldiers were surprised at first, but soon regrouped and were ready to fight.

As the doors opened legions upon legions of undead could be seen. Behind them sat an undead on a throne made of bones and an undead dragon.

"Welcome, you foolish invaders, who dare place their filthy feet on the land belonging to God. Today, you all shall repent by forfeiting your lives." As soon as Adalmann said that, all the undead started to move. Unlike the undead the Imperial Army faced till now, these undead were coordinated and led by Undead Generals.

The numbers on both side were equal, yet the balnce began to change. Any undead which died, would get back up and start fighting as if nothing had happened. Meanwhile, any casualties from Empire's side would become undead themselves increasing their number. Within ten minutes, all the Imperial soldiers were wiped out.

Floor 71-79

These floors were the home to all kinds of insect monsters. Those soldiers that were brought here were surprised at first, but got used to the the situation within a few days. In three days, they had managed to settle into a rhythm and kill these insects.

These insects, unlike the golems or undead, dropped their magic stone upon dying. Each of these stones is quite valuable, so the soldiers were ecstatic. Though the insects would attack continuously, the soldiers would fight them in shifts, allowing them to rest. Within three days they had reached floor 79.

"Haha. I can't wait to go back. With these many crystals, I can spend the rest of my life in luxury." A soldier said.
"I know rig-"

Till now the atmosphere, which had been jovial, suddenly darkened. Seeing the man who was just alive and well a second ago, lose his head, left everyone in a daze, before falling into utter chaos.

"Kukuku. How dare you intrude onto our paradise. You will all become nourishment for my children." A beautiful yet, scary voice could be heard. As soon as the voice said that, thousands of army wasps flooded the room and started devouring the soldiers alive.

"Aaaah!! My hand!! My Ha-"
"Save me!! Sa-" *Crunch*

All the soldiers started running around to save themselves. But it was all in vain. A single army wasp, if found in the Western Nation would require an entire country's army to deal with. Finding 3 to 10 of them would already require 5he Entire Army of the Western Nations to work together to defeat. This alone should be enough to understand just how dangerous these creatures are. Yet, right now, nearly a thousand, if not more, Army Wasps are present. Within a few minutes, no one was left alive. Only a few carcasses, which were devoured by the Wasps in matter of few seconds.

"Tch. There was no one strong amongst them. Bad luck. I wonder how Kumara is doing."
