Rimuru's POV

I slowly make my way through the jovial atmosphere in the city. Many people invited me to drink with them, but i politely declined and continued to make my way towards Shizue's house.

Shizue's house is located towards the outskirts of the city. I asked her if she wanted her house to be near the centre of the town, but she declined, staying that it was more peaceful around here, which I can't exactly deny.

As soon as I reach her house, I knock on her door.
"Hai. Who is it?"
"It's me, Rimuru." I say.
"Ah! Right. One second." She said. I continued to stay outside for a while. It took her about a minute before she opened the door.

"Come in. It had been a while, hasn't it?" Shizue asks as she lead me to the sofa in her living room.
"It has. Now that i think about it, this is the first time I have come here as well."
"I guess so. So? Why did Rimuru-san come here? I am sure you must be busy with everything going on."
"Yeah. To tell you the truth, it's a real pain. But i have to do it. Anyway, i wanted to hear about what happened in the labyrinth today."
"Ah! You mean about the angel."
"Angel?"
"Hai. So Rimuru-san doesn't know?"
"No."
" I see. Well when i reached there, Treyni-san and Charys were fighting against this angel called Cornu. In reality they were losing, but with my help, we were able to push him back. But just as i was able to finish him, a fireball came from behind us, completely burning his body, and a beautiful lady in a Chinese dress and long shiny blue hair came out.

She introduced herself as Velgrynd and told us that the body we were fighting was just a clone and that the fireball should have killed his original body as well."

"I see. That helps. Thanks for your time."
"No need for thanks."
"Also, do you know where Chloe is?"
"Ch-Chloe is it? I am not sure. Why?"
"Hmm? Nothing much. I just wanted to discuss something with her."

In reality, Ciel told me that something is happened when Michael was teleporting away. Some sort of interference occurred due to my Ultimate skill Raphael, and Ciel presumed it has something to do with it being an Ultimate skill of the angelic series. If that is the case then Chloe could also have some problems, considering she had the ultimate skill «Hope King Sariel».

"Is that so? Well then. Let me just search for her location real quick."
"Uhm-um. Rimuru-san about that-"

Shizue was trying to say something when Ciel told me Chloe's location. She was very close to me. She was literally in the next room.

"Etto..... Shizue-san?"
"H-hai!"
"Why is Chloe in that room?"
"Umm... You see.... about that. Um. There is a very good reason for this."
"And that is?"
"*Sigh* i can't hide this anymore, can I?"
"What are you hiding?"
"Come with me." She said as she stood up and led me to the room, which appeared to be her bedroom

*Knock**knock*

"I am coming in Chloe." Shizue's said as she opened the door. Inside, Chloe was lying on the bed reading one of her books.
"Shizue-sensei. Eh?" She looked surprised to see me.
"Rimuru-sensei? Why?"
"What? I can't meet my own student?"
"Uh. No. That's not what i meant."
"Just tell me already. What happened?"
"That..... Um...... I actually lost contact with Chronoa."
"Lost contact? What do you mean by that?"
"She means exactly what she said, Rimuru-san." Shizue answered me.
"Etto, you see, just after you defeated Velgrynd-san, Chronoa suddenly told me that Sariel was suddenly acting weird and that she will do something to deal with it."
"I see. So it is just as i estimated."
"Hmm? What do you mean sensei?"
"It appears something is wrong with Ultimate skills which belong to angelic series. Anyway, forget that, ledu me help you."
"No."
"Huh?"
"Chronoa said this as well. We can't keep relying on you anymore."
"So? You will deal with this on your own, is that what you mean?"
"Hai." Chloe said with a determined look on her face.
"*Sigh* Fine. But if anything happens you tell me or Shizue."
"Hai." Chloe said with a smile.

"And? Why were you hiding her?" I ask facing Shizue.
"Well, you see, she didn't want to bother you, especially when you already have so many things to do."
"Shizue. I respect that you wanted to help her, but you should have made sure she would have been okay. There was no guarantee that the problem wouldn't be permanent. If this harms her, then what would you have done?"

"I-I am sorry." She said looking down at the floor. Looks like she really feels bad for what she had done.

"Fine. But don't do this again, alright? I am here to help you after all."
"Hai."

I just smiled and spent some time with them before going back to my office. So much work. I really want to relax, but oh well.

Some time later.....

The sun had nearly set, and i was just about to go to my room to sleep. Not like i need it, bit it still feels good to sleep. Just as i was about to get up, there was a knock on the door.

"Come in."
Please don't be Shuna with more paperwork.
Yes. It was Testarossa. Thank God it wasn't more paperwork.
"What is it Testarossa?"
"Rimuru-sama, there is a bit of a problem."
"Problem?"
"Yes. Regarding the kingdom of Laverra."
Laverra?
<It is the kingdom which was having a civil war.>

"Oh. The small country easy of Ingrassia, right?"
"Hai."
"So? What happened?"
"It appears Ingrassia had made some moves and crossed the border and done military activities."
"Did the army move?"
"No. It was only the inquisitors."
"Fine. What did they do?"
"That's the problem, Rimuru-sama. They have done nothing. It's like they crossed the border for no reason."
"What do you mean they have done nothing?"
"Exactly what i mean Rimuru-sama. They have done nothing or of the ordinary."
"Fine. Then, do one thing. Tell them that in the meeting for this council, there are chances that i will come."
"Understood."

Just as Testarossa was about to leave, someone else barged in. But not in a traditional way. The intruders just teleported straight to my room. The barrier only warned me and didn't show any danger. I looked towards the intruders and immediately understood why. A large ominous door with a dark aura surrounding it came into view, and Mizeri walked out of the door.

"Demon Lord Rimuru-sama, Guy-sama is inviting you to a Walpurgis."
"Walpurgis? Wait. Before that, what happened to you?"
"I am sorry for appearing in front of you in sucks l such a shameless way. I beg your pardon." What Mizeri said 'shameless' was her clothes torn and bruises all over her. She was in no way healthy. She definitely had a fight with someone.

"What happened?"
"I am sure Guy-sama will explain in the Walpurgis."
"Is that so?"
"Hai."
"Whatever. Testarossa, come with me. And Ranga?"
"Hai." Testarossa, who had been quiet all this time said.
"Hai, Rimuru-sama, you called?" Ranga asked popping out of my shadow.
"Yes. Tell one of your undelings to tell Shuna that i will be gone for some time."
"Understood."

I could obviously just use thought communication but i didn't because today is one of the few days that Shuna has taken a break, so i assume she is asleep, so it's better not to wake her up.

"Then, Mizeri, lead the way."

Mizeri just bowed and led me through the door.

The next chapter will most probably be the story i was thinking about. I guess I wrote about it a few chaps back.
