Chloe's POV

As I was wondering what Sensei would do, out of nowhere, a woman appeared behind him. It appeared as if she materialized out of nowhere. And, without any warning, chains bound sensei to the woman. Ten chains, each connected to one of the women's fingers, were connected to sensei's two wrists, two elbows, neck, waist, two ankles and both his knees.

I was surprised to see this and was about to enter the pyramid to save him, but Chronoa stopped me.

'Stop it. You wouldn't survive even a second inside the barrier. You will cause him more trouble.'
'but-'

"Hey, who's she?" Milim asked through the thought web.
"Good question. But seeing that Rimuru is not surprised at all, maybe some he knows?" Guy replied.

"That's the most plausible option. Regardless, if she wasn't along with Rimuru, she would have already died due to her magicules being sucked up." Ruminas pointed out.

"True, but I can't analyse her at all. It's like there is a mysterious wall stopping me from interacting with her." Guy replied.

True. If she wasn't with Sensei, then she would have already lost all her magicules. But, if she is someone who is with Sensei, why haven't I met with her even once? Not in this life, or any of the previous ones.

'I am not sure, but I believe I have seen her somewhere before. Maybe if I could look at her face I might remember.'

That's true. From this angle, I can only see hers and sensei's back. I teleport to the other side of the pyramid to get a better look.

The look in sensei's eyes were completely different from anything I've ever seen. Her golden eyes were emanating bloodlust. The entire air was pulsating along with Sensei's feeling. His eyes were determined to kill him right here and now.

Do you remember anything Chronoa?

....

Chronoa?

....

What happened? She was talking to me just a minute ago. I try to serve her presence. No matter what I did, she didn't respond. I could feel fear emanating from her entire existence.

'ST-stay away from her.  I don't remember much, but she is strong. I don't even want to remember her. I know nothing about her and you don't either, alright?'

It was more like she was ordering me. So, I have to say that I don't know anything about her? Well, that's mostly the truth. I have no clue what her and Chronoa's relationship is, but I guess it would be better to not investigating it any further. At least not now.

"Why do you think he is bound by chains?" Dino asked, passing attention for once.

"No clue. Maybe that's just how he swings." Ruminas suggested. There's no way that's true, right?

"Whether he swings that was or not, I am not sure, bit those chains are actually quite useful. Inside the barrier, he will have to burn through a lot of his magicules, even if he just wants to change his trajectory. Using the chains to change his motion should consume considerably less magicules."

I see. That's true. Sensei wouldn't have much magicules to spare. As time passes by, he might be forced to use his magicules, so saving them is surely the wise decision.

Rimuru's POV

I tell Ciel to come out without caring about who might see this. As much as Ciel is a secret weapon, now is the time to reveal her. After all, if I don't, I won't last to fight any other day.

The feeling that I am getting from him is worse than what I felt when I thought against Qaris. Unlike Qaris, he is a complete monster without any logical reasoning, driven purely by his desire to destroy.

Without a moment's delay, Ciel materialized behind me. Chains bound me, just like they used to in my previous life. These chains were highly effective in controlling my motion in space or at planets where gravity was low. Also, it is highly useful as even Ciel can remotely control my motion. In case something attacks me from blindside, then Ciel can help me evade it.

True, with magic sense, I can have a complete understanding of what is going on in my surrounding. But the problem is that there is no magicules in the air. Without magicules in the surrounding, magic sense is completely useless. I realised this as soon as I stepped inside the barrier.

It's about time to begin this. I summon both the black and white sword. Unlike the last time, I took full control of them. I held my main sword, the black one, in my right hand and the white one in my left hand. I don't hesitate to attack Ivarage.

The black sword splits into two like a scissor, still connected at the back due toa hinge. A large black sphere is radiating energy in between them. The energy ball then flies straight towards Ivarage. It's not made out of magicules, so it's quite effective as the barrier won't absorb it.

Ivarage just eyes the attack but doesn't dodge it. It just crashes right into it.

It soundlessly attaches itself to his body. It eats away his body. The black mass spent pushes its way further into the wound it created by completely neutralizing his body.

The black mass, in reality was actually dark matter. It has a unique property that whenever it comes in contact with matter, specifically solids or liquids, it completely eradicates it by fusing together into nothing.

Ivarage's eyes widen as he continues to see how his body is devoured. He might not be intelligent, but he still had survival instincts as a living being. Without waiting, he explodes his left abdomen, separating the part with which the dark matter was attached. The dark matter slowly consumes up all of the separated part before disappearing itself.

Ivarage quickly healed himself and looked directly at me. He used up a large amount of magicules to explode a part of his body and heal himself back up, especially in the presence of this barrier. As the barrier sucks up magicules at an exorbitant rate, meaning, any leak of magicules can cause you to wither away. Ivarage not only lost a part of his body, causing his magicules to be sucked away, but also lost a lot magicules healing himself as the effectiveness of magic inside this barrier was very low.

The amount of magicules he had used was already more than my total magicules by ten times, yet it had little to no effect on him. How did he even get so much magicules?

<I personally believe it is because of the fact that he spent so much time in the void.>

Really? If it's that easy to get stronger, even I want to go there.

*Swish*

Woah. I quickly move backwards to avoid Ivarage's tail that he had swung at me. The chains bound to me didn't hinder me at all as they could freely change their size. Ciel can make them longer and shorter depending on what I am doing.

Alright. Let's get this started Ciel, shall we?
<Yes Master.>

I hope you guys like it. Also, even though Ciel had her own body, she is speaking directly to Rimuru's mind, and not through the body.
