Chloe's POV

I don't wait for the dust to settle. I use my magic sense to see what was going on. Now that the barrier was broken, Magic perception could be used again, though not as effective.

Sensei was who was in the air, had fallen onto the ground. There was a large hole in place of Sensei's stomach. Seeing that made by blood go cold.

'No need to worry. He is a spiritual lifeform, so this much shouldn't be anything to him.'

I know. I know that. Yet for some reason, my heart is telling me that something is wrong. Apart from Sensei and you, my intuition is the only thing that has supported me till now. And now, the same intuition was telling me that Sensei was in danger.

"Not bad. He sure is an anomaly. Killing not one, not two, but three apostles." Veldanava spoke up.

As soon as he said that, everyone, including me, turned to look at him with faces of confusion. Nobody was sure who these apostles were, but from the situation, it can be deduced that atleast one of them is Ivarage.

"Oi. What do you me-" Guy tried to ask but was interrupted by Veldanava, pointing towards Ivarage.

Everyone looked towards Ivarage. Sensei's sword, that he had lost while fighting, had struck Ivarage.

"He sure has good battle sense. Not only that, but that sword is also special. He knew that inside the barrier, no magic perception could be used. Apart from himself, there was no obstacles to Ivarage's vision. So he decided to hide his own attack, even if it meant they the sword would pierce through him in the process as well. True, the sword only dealt physical damage to him. But still, it requires guts to do that. To put your on life on the line, just to ensure that your attack will kill your opponent." Veldanava started as a matter of fact.

Everyone was surprised seeing what Rimuru had done. But even more surprised when Veldanava spoke without a hint of urgency. Half the people had never met Veldanava, so they weren't as surprised. But those that did know him, just kept staring at him.

3rd Person POV

"Then that means Sensei won, right?" Chloe asked impatiently.

"Well, that depends on the definition of winning. If killing Ivarage counts as winning, then yes. Ivarage's soul is completely broken and shattered. He only has a few more moments before his body disintegrates and soul is destroyed. But, if your condition for winning is Rimuru surviving, then..." Just as Veldanava said that, a dark aura spread out from his disintigrating body.

The aura spread so quickly that no one was able to respond except for one person, Veldanava. No. React wouldn't be the right word. He had already begun moving before the aura had even begun spreading. He grabbed Chloe's hand with his left hand and touched the box controlled by Dino, which was the closest to them, with his right hand. The last thing that everyone saw was the dark aura devouring them.

Location:-???
Time:-???

As everyone opens their eyes, they are face to face with complete darkness, adorned by the glows of twinkling stars.
Out of all the people there, except Veldanava, Guy was the first to adjust to the new surrounding. Slowly, everyone realised that they were not where they were a few moments ago. They looked around, only to find an array of stars of looking straight back at them.

"Where are we?" Guy asked Veldanava.
"Now... Who knows? To tell you the truth I have no idea myself. But I can tell you that this is a parallel world, made by fusing Rimuru's past memories and Ivarage's skill."

"Skill? What skill? And how do you know about it Veldanava-sama?" Dino asked.

"And why didn't you kill Ivarage? In its weakened state, you could have easily killed it." Guy added.

"And what did you mean by apostles?" Ruminas asked.

"Right right I'll te- oof." Before Veldanava could even reply, both Velgrynd and Velzard were hugging him.

"Glad to see you again brother." Velzard said with teary eyes.
"That's right *sob* I thought I would never see you *sniff**sob* again." Velgrynd said, without even trying to hide her tears.

Seeing this, everyone held back their questions, waiting for a more opportune moment. Veldanava just lovingly patted their head, consoling them.

"It's alright. I told you I would be back. It's not like you missed me or something, right?" Veldanava asked, teasing his sisters.

""OF COURSE WE DID"" Both screamed at the same time. Both of them were huge tsunderes, so then admitting the fact came as a surprise not only to Veldanava, but everyone there.

Seeing that Veldanava wouldn't be freed from the clutches of his sisters any time soon, someone made a move.

"Oi redhead. What's that?" Diablo asked Guy while pointing towards a long stick that was floating. Well, calling it a stick would be wrong. It was nearly as long as a few kilometres.

"Everyone." Veldanava said the next part to his sisters, "Let me explain everything. I'll spend a lot of time with you, alright?"

Hearing this, both Velzard and Velgrynd reluctantly gave in.

"Alright. Let me explain. I never thought that a day like this would ever come. *sigh*. So? From where should I start?"

"First tell us where we are." Guy asked impatiently. Even though Feldway was angry at Guy's attitude towards Veldanava, he didn't say anything as it would only lead to more wastage of time.

"Alright. As you can see, we are in a separate dimension from the Cardinal World. This dimension is created by one of Ivarage's skill «Desperate Overthrow». What it does is, that it recreates one of the most depressing memories of the target, and makes the target relive it. Obviously, the target will try to change the course of actions, but it's not that easy. Even if he changes the course of his past, if he is not satisfied, his own soul will be scattered and destroyed completely."

Everyone started at Veldanava.

"How do you know about this?" Guy asked.

"Because I was the one who gave it to him." Veldanava stated with a straight face.

Everyone started even harder at Veldanava, unable to understand what is going on anymore.

"The skill only works on the target, right? So why are we here as well?" Zegion asked. He had been silent all this time, but seeing that the conservation wouldn't move on without a trigger, he decided to ask this.

"Well, that's majorly because the skill got confused as to where Rimuru's soul was spread out.  The box that you were using was also a part of Rimuru's body. It was made from his own blood and tissues. As such, technically, Rimuru's body had enclosed the entire area inside the pyramid. As such, all the souls inside his alleged 'body' were transported along with him as well." Veldanava explained.

"Wait. Is that the reason why you dragged me to the pyramid?" Chloe asked recalling what had happened a few moments before they were devoured by darkness.

"Yes. That's right. It would be quite bad if we were left out, after all." Veldanava replied with a smirk.

"That's good and all, but why couldn't you defeat Ivarage like last time?" Guy asked.

--------------------------

I hope you guys like it. Anyways, I forgot to mention, but Milim had moved away to fight Ivarage's underlings, as such is unaware of Veldanava's revival.
