After the minor events of barely dying of dehydration and heatstroke. MK almost selling Wukong and Macaque's cape. Things have been going steady as of late. Wukong himself went into a meditated state of mind to gain back all his Chi sources from the fight with Nezha.
The blonde demoness was still kinda sour about that. But everything has been dandy.
Jinhua was trailing to the side as she helped picked things up for Tang. His abundance of literature still amazes her how much he packed for the trip.
Picking up another journal, she realized that maybe half of the books were sketchbooks for MK. Smiling at the thought, Jinhua snapped her fingers and teleported inside the van.
"How close is he?" Jinhua peered over her shoulder to see Macaque leaning against the wall, his arms crossed as he gave the demoness a pointed look, "Ren."
Jinhua hummed in thought, "Just across the walls of bushes.. Right beside Mei, MK and Sandy." She folded a few dried clothes from a basket, stopping when she pulled out a towel, "Are you okay with this?"
"With what?" Macaque glanced to the side, focusing his attention on the pile of stacked jackets.
Jinhua let out a huff and pushed the basket aside, "Letting them fight him alone... I know I've temporarily blocked half his abilities.. But he's a smart child. He'll figure out a way... He's our child after all."
"Yes and who did we train?" Macaque glanced up to look at her, "I'm sorry, but you have to see that your babying them too much." He sighed and started pacing, "MK has barely been able to get any battle experience because of your motherly protectiveness. You can't protect him from everything. He needs this."
Jinhua kept quiet, "What's so wrong with wanting to keep him safe from all the danger and trauma..."
Macaque stared at her for a moment in silence before letting out a sigh and placing a comforting hand on her arm, "Nothing. But if you wish to see MK and Mei grow as the warriors they train to be. You need to let them go first. Give 'em a lil' trust."
Jinhua took in his words and hummed in thought, "Very well. I'll stay and relax for a bit..."
"Good." Macaque smiled, his ears picking up that Tang and Pigsy were loading into the truck. Quickly grabbing hold of her hands, he rushed to the hammocks, "Let us rest and act like we knew nothing~!" He smirked as he slipped them both into a shadow portal and fell straight into the bedding.
Jinhua muffled a snicker, "Oh my~! How scandalous of you, Liu'er~" She purred into his many ears.
"Jinhua—!"

"Tang? Pigsy...?" MK looked around with slight panic, "Mr. Macaque...?? Jinhua!?" When he heard no response, he rushed over with Mei on his heels.
