Sitting crisscrossed by the campfire in front of a meditating Macaque, you must be asking why was Redson in this situation in the first place?

Well it started only a few minutes after Mei and Jinhua left to go talk about whatever.

Staring into the campfire after stomping away from the infuriating warrior girl, Redson seemed to cool himself down by staring into the depths of his element.

The sparks of dancing flames always seemed to soothe him and his anger.

"Hey kid, looking lost there." Macaque huffed as he dropped some more firewood down beside the fire for fuel, "Had another argument with little dragon girl over there?"

"Wha—!? It wasn't an argument! It was just a small little disagreement in names to title me. I will not stand there and watch her go off on a rant and list insults at me—!!" Redson flared at the thought. The utter thought of the warrior girl infuriated him to no end. Her teasings and mischievous smirk racing across his mind mockingly. As if toying with him that he was inferior to her presence alone.

Macaque gave the demon prince an unconvinced look, "Yeah, sure. Whatever makes you sleep better at night." He shrugged before reaching into his satchel to pull out a plum.

"That warrior girl..." He seethed at the mere mention of her on his tongue, "It seems every time I see her, she seems to grow exponentially in strength and I... I don't wish to be left behind..." Redson felt his shoulder sag as he looked down at his fire sparking hands, "Her fire.... It's.. Dangerous... Yet I can't help but be.. Mesmerized by it." He breathed out as he was reminded of their first encounter.

It was a locked on stalemate in the weather tower. And he had never felt so... Battle hungry.

Macaque raised a brow as he took a bite out of his fruit, "So you don't want to lag behind because you see yourself lacking when you compare yourself to Mei. Heck maybe MK."

Redson frowned, "When you put it like that, it makes me sound like I'm whining."

Macaque shook his head, "No it's normal. Afterall, both Mei and MK have a bigger desire in this journey than the rest. And it's to get their brother back."

"Their brother? From the brotherhood, that warrior girl mentioned?" Redson muttered with furrowed brows, "There's more of them...?"

"His name is Ren and he was enslaved by our enemy the Lady Bone Demon. Forced to do her every bidding. Including, fighting his own family and friends." Macaque snarled at the reminder.

"Ren..." Redson muttered, "The boy that was with you and Jinhua during the festival. He was taken?"

Macaque sighed and tossed the plum seed behind him, "Indeed. And Mei and MK are fighting for their lives trying to get the rings in order to defeat the Lady Bone Bitch and free their brother."
