Most group of friends have trios, like two boys and one girl. So what if Wukong and Macaque had another friend.
Another that just wanted to break the chains from her responsibilities and just have fun.
Another that knew what about the fight between...

Ice and barrages of ice bergs ravaged the city. The frosty air made it hard to breathe as it trapped the people in crystallized tombs.
Jinhua fell to her knees as she felt something snap in her core, "Wha..." Her hands gripped her chest in throbbing pain. The more closer the Lady Bone Demon was, the weaker she grew. She didn't even know if she had the energy to teleport.
"Jinhua!" Macaque was by her side, alerting the rest.
"Master!" Mei hurried over with MK and Redson at her tail, "Something happened...!" Her face pale with fright.
MK held his hand over his heart, "I felt it too..." he looked as equally as distraught as his dragon friend.
Jinhua looked up at the children weakly, "I-I... I can't feel his bond..." Her eyes widened as she started to lose control of her breathing, "Macaque..." Her hand gripped his sleeve, trying to comfort herself, "I can't feel Ren-!"
Macaque's breath hitched at her panic, "Did you two feel him?" He turned to the two apprentices.
MK and Mei looked to each other solemnly. Then they slowly shook they're heads, "No..."
"Not one bit..."
Redson looked between the group with furrowed brows, "That means that the Lady Bone Demon has either full control over him or..." He trailed off not wanting to finish the sentence.
It didn't take much for the group to figure out the rest, keeping quiet in the train. They all looked out the window to distract themselves. But it was disturbing looking at the destruction of Lady Bone Demon closing in on them.
Tang nervously peered from the window and back at the Sage, "So um... Uh M-Mister King sir...? I don't wanna rush you or anything-!" He was shoved aside by MK who was glaring out the window, Samadhi Rings in his arms.
"I'm okay with rushing him-!" He whipped around and glared at his mentor, his patience running thin ever sense he felt his bond with Ren snap. He stomped up to the Monkey King, "Whats the plan, Monkey King?? We got all three rings of Samadhi Fire! So how do we use them, so we can make the Lady Bone Demon go 'boom'!!" He tilted his head mockingly, "Is there a switch? Or..." The train rocked for a bit, knocking the apprentice back a few steps.
Monkey King blinked for a moment an sent Mei a quick glance before looking away when he felt Macaque and Jinhua's hard stares. Mei blinked at him with furrowed eyes. She did not like the feeling of this one bit, "Whatchu lookin' at Monkey." She sneered under her breathe. The loss of her bond with Ren made her annoyance rise to anger, the longer they delayed the forge of the rings.
Wukong lowered his gaze to the side, "It's a bit more complicated than that..."
Redson stood beside Mei, his arms crossed with a scowl on his face, "Complicated how?" His bull tail lashed in irritation.
