We just sat there. Not talking. We didn't say a word. We both looked around the restaurant waiting for our food to get here 'this is more awkward than I thought it would be' I thought to myself looking down at the floor '' So..'' Felix said trying to start up a conversation ''So..'' I repeated. The awkwardness just kept getting bigger and bigger. Its not like we couldn't talk to each other- we talked to each other all the time at school, outside of school, on the phone.. Maybe its cause we are over thinking the situation '' Teresa-'' Felix started to say but was interrupted by our waiter bringing us our food ''Thank you'' I said to our waiter. We both started eating our meals, in silence, not saying a word. The whole restaurant was filled with couples who were talking and laughing and then you have us... not saying a word ''Ok this is insane '' He exclaimed putting down his fork ''Why can't we talk? Why is this so awkward'' he said looking at me ''I think were over thinking this whole thing, there's to much pressure, we need to think of this like a 3 date or like a casual outing, not a first date'' I answered ''Okay yeah I can do that. We can do that'' he said ''Hows your food?'' I asked taking another bite of my food ''Good, really good yours?'' '' its reallyyyyyy good'' I laughed and just like that the awkwardness was gone. We just needed to stop thinking of this as a first date
