Natsu's Pov

We've been battling the demons. Gray went off somewhere right after he kissed me deeply when we split up. Thinking he was safe, I continued my battle with Sting and Rogue. But I've been being very careful of my stomach, Rogue too. I need to get that book. But this guys impossible. Soon we heard a roar. The Mard guy smirked. "Looks like your ice friend is in trouble." He looked at me. I growled, "It's about time my demon that I summoned showed up." I paused, "Another demon?" He laughed. "You've defeated the main ones but I decided to have a little fun." I glared at him. I don't like this guy. "Fire dragon roar!" He dodged it. "Holy shadow dragon's fang!" Sting and Rogue charged at him. He moved from his chair flawlessly. He flicked his hand. Thorns came out of the ground I dodged them, but Sting and Rogue were caught. "Let them go!" He just looked at me and flicked his wrist again, sending Sting and Rogue flying. We heard another roar. I froze, everything went still. I screamed. It felt like a part of me had died, and it hurts. "Natsu!" I heard Sting's voice echo. It got cold.

Gray's Pov

I was battling when this monster popped up from nowhere. I used everything I had but, no use. Another immortal? I got angry, wanting to defeat this guy. Heck, I'm a devil slayer now! I should be able to defeat this thing. But here he was standing tall. I gave it another go. Not a scratch. What's with this guy. That's when I thought of it. I knew I shouldn't use it, but it's for the best. I closed my eyes and got in the position. Arms crossed in front of me. Everything went still. I love you, Natsu.

"ICED SHELL!"

I faded into ice. Then everything was black.

"GRAAAAY!!"
