   It was late in the night when Laxus finally found Freed in the guilds library. Asleep, on one of his books. Laxus relaxed a bit. He moved across the room from the stairs towards his mate. Laxus smiled softly at the sight. Freed's hair all tangled and frizzy. His coat was off too, leaving him in his white button up shirt. Must have been burning up down here and just wanted to get comfortable. Laxus sighed. He searched for Freed's coat and started to clean up a bit. That's when he noticed Levy. The girl was passed out too, surrounded by books and papers. Stayed up late doing research with Freed. He chuckled to himself and went to pick up Freed, but he stopped when he heard footsteps. Static activated around him on alert. "Dude, just me." Gajeel whispered arms up defendedly. Laxus relaxed once again, letting out a sigh, feeling annoyed. Gajeel made his way over and saw Levy. "Worked themselves to sleep huh?" Gajeel whispered, moving a piece of hair behind Levy's' ear. Levy sighed and leaned into his touch. "Yeah," Laxus gently wrapped his coat around Freed and picked him up gently, not wanting to wake him up. Freed moved closer to Laxus, wanting the warmth. He sighed happily in his sleep. Gajeel picked up Levy and smiled. They made there way back to the guild entrance and parted.

  Laxus headed straight home. Wanting to get Freed in a more comfortable place to sleep. He made it to their bedroom. Laid Freed down gently on the bed. He changed out of his clothes and joined him, wrapping around Freed protectively. He nuzzled Freed's neck and sighed happily when Freed cuddled closer. "Night bookworm," He whispered, kissing his head. He fell asleep.
