Gray's Pov

   I got ready for school. But before I left, I lifted my blind. Natsu was still there. I smiled. He was playing around with his hairbrush. Probably listening to music while getting ready for school. I clutched the paper in my pocket. The school homecoming was around the corner. Tonight actually. Though I already have a date. I promised her we'd go even if I did break up with her. Natsu probably has someone. I kept looking at Natsu. Seeing him dance around. Then he stopped and turned towards his window. He blushed madly when he saw I was watching him. But he waved at me and grabbed his backpack. I returned the wave. Then I grabbed my pad.

You going tonight?

Natsu read it. He shook his head.

No, I have a test to study for.

I frowned.

Wish you were there.

He smiled at me.

See you at school?

He looked hopeful. I nodded. He smiled then pulled down the blind. I did the same and headed to school.
I had the paper with me all day.

Time skip

Music was blaring. Juvia was going around talking to friends. She had a blue dress that a little too much skin. I had a blue tie to match. I don't really mind anymore cause we're not together. Only for the dance. I zoned out. Wishing Natsu was here. I fiddled with the paper I had with me. The music slowed, that's when I saw him. My breath caught. He looked stunning, especially for someone who studies a lot. He caught my eye and smiled. I started heading towards him. Juvia reaches for me but I ignored her. She yelled once more trying to gain my attention. But all I could focus on was Natsu. He was wearing a suit with a pink tie, matching his hair. I got to him, "You came." He nodded, "I decided that I wanted to have fun for once instead of doing homework." We chuckled. "You look great." I complimented him. "You too." Then I rembered. I pulled out the note and unfolded it. His eyes widened in shock. He pulled out something from his coat pocket and unfolded it too, 'I love you.' We smiled. Then before I could lean in, Juvia stomped towards us. "You dumped me for him, the school nerd?" She yelled angrily. I just shrugged. She let out a frustrated sigh and went into the crowd. I turned back towards Natsu. We chuckled. We calmed down soon after. Then I had my chance. I pressed my lips to his. He smiled and kissed back. We danced the rest of the night.
