     Their kiss deepened when they reached the back room of the guild. Natsu closed the door behind him with his foot. "Natsu," Gray tried to move away, but he couldn't stop kissing him. Natsu then moved to his neck. Gray gasped. He tried pushing Natsu off him. "I-I can't." Natsu didn't listen he just kept kissing his neck. Then lips were back on his. Natsu ran his hands all over his waist. He shivered. "Natsu, please, stop." Gray pushed on Natsu's chest trying to get him away. After a couple more tries Natsu finally listened, but still held Gray close to him. "What's wrong? I thought you wanted this?" Gray looked away from Natsu. "I do want this, I want you, but," Natsu lifted up his chin with his fingers making Gray look at him, "But what?" Gray let out a breath, "It's not gonna work," he whispered. Natsu was confused. "W-what?" Gray winced, "I-I don't know, we're just complete opposites, Natsu, and I'm different." Natsu didn't know what to say, "But, that, that doesn't stop me from wanting you." "I know," "So what does being different and opposites have to do with anything?" Natsu brushed back Gray's hair and Gray leaned into the touch. "Natsu," Natsu leaned his forehead on Gray's, both stayed like that for a few minutes. "I've heard people talk." Gray whispered. "Gray," "Fire and ice, they don't mix, Natsu. They don't go together, never will. That's, that's why it, we won't work." He looked down. Then he moved away from Natsu. "You know I want you," Gray stopped before he opened the door. "It's not a secret I tried to hide. I know you want me. So don't keep saying our hands are tied." Natsu crossed the floor, pulling Gray back close to him by the waist. "You claim it's not in the cards, but fait is pulling you miles away and out of reach from me. But your here in my heart, so who can stop me if I decide that you're my destiny?"  He led them to the middle of the room and started dancing. "What if we rewrite the stars? Say you were made to be mine. Nothing can keep us apart. You'd be the one I was meant to find." They moved in sync with one another. "It's up to you and it's up to me. No one can say what we get to be, so why don't we rewrite the stars. Maybe the world could be ours tonight." Gray spun back into Natsu, stopping in Natsu's hold on him, faces inches apart. Then he slowly backed away. "You think it's easy, you think I don't wanna run to you. But there are mountains and there are door that we can't walk through." Natsu watched Gray move on his own, breathlessly. "I know you're wondering why, because we're able to be just you and me within these walls. But when we go outside you're gonna wake up and see that it was hopeless after all." He disappeared into the shadows. "No one can rewrite the stars. How can you say you were mine? Everything keeps us apart, and I'm not the one you were meant to find. It's not up to you, it's not up to me, when everyone tells us what we can be. How can we rewrite the stars, say that the world can be ours tonight." Then he saw Gray again, skating on the ice that he made in that moment. He flipped through the air and landed. Natsu joined him with his own pair of skates on holding Gray from behind and skated with him. "All I want is to fly with you. All I want is to fall with you. Just give me all of you. It feels impossible. Is it impossible? Say that it's possible." They slowed, the ice disappeared. But they continued to dance through the room. "How do we rewrite the stars? Say you were made to be mine. Nothing can keep us apart, cause you were the one I was meant to find." He gently pulled Gray closer to him again and wrapped his arms around his waist. They started swaying. "It's up to you and it's up to me, no one can say what we get to be. Why don't we rewrite the stars? Changing the world to be ours." Gray looked at Natsu. They were inches apart. He kissed him and then pulled away. "You know I want you, it's not a secret I tried to hide. But I can't have you. We're bound to break and my hands are tied." Natsu was alone.

Some (mostly) Natray fluff!😊 Based off the Rewrite the Stars song by Zac and Zendaya. I watched the Greatest Showman for the first time this week and I heard this song (loved it and my new fave) and just wanted to write this so😊  (disclaimer: I don't own Greatest Showman, this song, or FairyTail by the way. all credit goes to their creators) anyway, enjoy!😊
