Y/n POV,

A dark starred night with the aura filling my spirits. The fresh smell of rain filling my nose and its moisture making my hair curl. The gentle night's breeze blowing my hair and beard in the breeze. The whistling of the wind blowing over the ale bottle. I felt at peace for once in a really long time. The world was no longer ending thanks to the Dragonborn Ahzira. All the troubles of worry about my family vanished because Ahzira killed the assassin that was tracking my family down.

My thoughts began to wander to when I was in my teens. My uncle who lived in High Rock was very strict about trying to find me a maiden. Every week some new stranger stood at my doorsteps telling me about my uncle and their agreement. I would kindly decline and walk back into my home. My thoughts drifted to when my uncle traveled to Skyrim to confront me about my actions.

"Y/n L/n, I have sent you women from all over High Rock, Elsweyr, and Valenwood. I've traveled the lands trying to find you a woman. You need not be so picky," My uncle spoke when he walked into my home.

"Uncle I'm not interested in the women that you find for me," I argue. "I have a guy in mind for me so you don't have to worry about finding me someone anymore."

"A guy? But a young man needs a woman to pass down the L/n line," my uncle assured.

I snap out of my thoughts when I felt a hand touch my shoulder.

"Hey N/n," Paarthurnax whispered.

"Oh Hey there," I sheepishly mutter.

"You seemed to have been in deep thought because I was calling your name while I was walking here. You didn't answer so I wanted to check on you." Paarthurnax inquired while his hand was still on my shoulder.

"Oh ya, I was in deep thought about my past. This scene really relaxes someone from a troubled mind." I responded after a few moments.

"Ah, then I'll not press any further than Y/n," Paarthurnax stated before getting back up.

"Hey um Paarthurnax, you can sit here beside me if you want to. I have no issues with you being here." I stuttered.

Paarthurnax sat down beside me and I felt a slight blush creep up on my cheeks. The dragon in human form didn't notice because he was looking at the trees in the distance. My gaze remained on him and my thoughts drifted back to my past. This time it was when my uncle saw me with a man.

"What are you doing Y/n? Who is this and what happened to the lady that I sent to you? This guy will not be able to care the L/n line," My uncle snapped before he stormed off before I could say anything.

I look back into reality and I see Paarthurnax still staring into the skyline. I look at my hand and I see Paarthurnax's fingers over my hand. His hand was warm compared to my cold hand and I didn't mind it although I don't like the warmth.

"I wonder what would have happened if I listened to my uncle when he was trying to find me a suitable maiden for me," I mutter under my breath.

"So Y/n, you drifted off into your mindset again. What were you thinking about?" Paarthurnax asked when he slightly pulled his hand away but he couldn't because I was holding it.

"My uncle... You know Paarthurnax that my uncle didn't approve of my preferences in relationships. He always said that I will come to my senses and I'll meet the right woman for me but I honestly don't see it. I've my eyes set on someone but I don't know if they share my feelings. Oh sorry, I'll let go of your hand." I calm burst and my voice then started to waver the longer I spoke.

"Oh, I wouldn't know how that feels because my father is Akatosh himself and my father seems to not mind what my preferences are," Paarthurnax mumbled.

"Ah, I had figured as much. So Paarthurnax if you had to choose what you would a mortal who would it be?" I sat there for a few moments trying to avoid his gaze.
