More Espresso Less Depresso

Party

The sky was a deep Lilac and melody was outside breathing in the soft air. Melody was wearing a lovely gown because it was her friends party. This party was a fancy party since her friends parents were really rich. She was looking off the balcony like it was a 1990s princess movie. "Melody, sweetie the party is about to began come down." Iris's mother says in a faint whisper with her British accent. "Coming Mrs. Smith" melody walks inside off the balcony going into the main room. Melody had always seemed to be fond of the whole dark royalty and dark academy aesthetics so this party made her feel quiet at home even if she's never lived in such a beautiful place. Speeding down the corridor making sure that she wasn't late, she entered the beautiful ballroom. It had giant chandlers that looked like crystals that lit up the deep room.

"This place is so gorgeous it just takes my breath away." Melody's soft but yet husky voice whispers out to Iris who nods in return, "I agree with you, I can't believe my parents actually let me have my party here." Iris who has a soft delicate voice giggles. The two girls fist bump then making sure no one was in the room they started dancing crazily. They heard laughter and footsteps so they ran off up the stairs to get ready for the grand entrance. Mrs. Smith walks in and tells Iris "Everyone is here, are you ready for the grand entrance dear?" Iris checks herself in the mirror, "Yes, Mother. I'm ready." Iris fixes her simple black mermaid dress standing up straight. A voice echo's throughout the ballroom. The lights start to dim, "Welcome Iris Smith."

Iris slowly flows like a rose petal down the left wing of the stairs. Melody is a few steps behind her to make sure Iris doesn't fall. Iris stands in the middle platform of the stairs and bows while everyone golf claps. She starts walking down the rest of the steps bowing and posing for the photos. While Melody is behind her making sure not to steal the spot light. Melody looks around the room and her eye catch's an unfamiliar face a tall, brown haired boy in a black suit who is standing by the bar holding a drink. The boy looks at Melody so she panics and looks back at Iris who is ending her photoshoot. Melody waits a second for Iris to walk forward till she moved. It was a few moments and Melody came up behind Iris and the locked arms. "Hello gorgeous what's next?" Melody giggled out quietly, "We say Hi to everyone." Iris and Melody have said Hi to at least over 30 different people. "The next people are the Hargreeves, adopted siblings, I guess my father knew their father." Melody flips her head lightly and makes eye contact with the unfamiliar boy again. Iris and Melody unhook arms while walking up, "Hello, Hargreeves. I'm Iris James Smiths daughter" Iris puts her hand out giving them all a hand shake getting each of their names. Melody steps forward pulling off her glove and holds out her hand. "Hello, My name is Melody bestfriends to Iris." Shaking each of their hands until the unfamiliar boy just smirks at her staring at her hand. Melody looks back at him licking her lips, "I'm pretty sure this is where you shake my hand and say your name." she whispers smirking, Five purses his lips shaking her hand. "My name is Five, Five Hargreeves." he hesitantly let's go of her hand, "Nice to meet you Five Hargreeves." Melody bows her head lightly looking at the others who are smirking. Melody turns around to look at Iris but it seemed Iris had left. "Shit." Melody says then whisks around wide eyed. She puts her hand over her mouth and giggles "You didn't hear that." Melody looks at Klaus who is wearing a pretty dress, "Holy shit." she raises her eyebrows looking up and down admiring him. They look at her confused, "The dress looks fucking dazzling on you. I wish I looked that good in a dress." Melody then realized she was saying everything out loud, she groans in embracement hiding her face. "Sorry, I'm really nervous. I thought I was saying that in my head." The Hargreeves laugh a bit not girl in front of them but due to how nervous she was. She leans in closer, "I have social problem. It's hard for me to explain, kinda like social anxiety." Vanya who is wearing a suit nods, "I know how you feel." Melody relaxes a bit finally feeling like someone understands. "Well, nice meeting you Hargreeves. I should go look for Iris." she bows then proceeds to run off. Melody could never find Iris and assumed she was in a random room. The music started getting to loud and there was to many people in the room. Her chest felt heavy as she pushed through the crowd to the bar, "Water please." Melody was scared and panicking, she chest felt tight and her palms were sweaty. She chugged the water but her chest felt heavy and the music was to loud. She looked over and seen the Hargreeves starring at her confused. She couldn't breathe anymore which caused her to panic. Melody then got a glimpse of Iris who was talking to Melody's ex. Melody didn't seem to care, I mean why should she? Iris then kissed melody's ex which caused her to sink in her seat, "Water please." The bar tender looks at her weird but doesn't say a single word. The room felt dizzy like it was closing in on her, a tear streamed down her face. The Hargreeves are still staring which makes her even more nervous, melody chokes down the water. She wipes her tears looking at the Hargreeves as she stumbles standing up. She grabs her head and groans in pain "Help." she whimpers out while Vanya runs up to her helping her stand. "Let's go outside." Melody directs the Hargreeves to the balcony where she once was earlier. "Breathe in for 7 and out for 5" Melody tries doing the breathing exercise but seemed to fail which caused her to panic even more. Allison petted Melody's head calmly which helped Melody calm down. A few minutes passed and Melody was completely fine. Five walks into the room holding his drink, "What are you guys doing out here?" Melody shrugs looking at the others. "Enjoying the coolness of the air. Looking at the stars spread out across the deep mysterious sky. What are you doing?" Melody puts her arms up then looks over her shoulder smiling delicately. He shrugs sitting down. A few minutes go by and they decided to go back inside to be greeted with everyone starting the slow dances. They all sit down at the bar chatting. Iris walks over "Where have you been?" Melody shrugs "With the Hargreeves, where have you been?" Melody takes a sip of her water looking over at her ex waving, "More like who have you been with?" Melody half smiles causing Iris's face to drop, "I'm sorry it's not what-" Melody laughs calmly, "I don't care. If you like him then be with him. I won't stop you." Iris smiles as another slow song comes on, she runs over and starts to slow dance with him. Melody and the Hargreeves make jokes and are laughing. "I wonder what it's like." Melody giggles out causing the Hargreeves to get confused, "What?" Allison speaks with curiosity, "Dancing with someone in a big ballroom. I bet I'd stumble over my feet and fall on my face but I like to imagine that it would feel fun. Just dancing hand in hand with someone, swaying to the music not caring about the problems and just enjoy that moment completely." Melody giggles looking at the Hargreeves. "Do you always talk with such big words." Klaus laughs, melody shrugs "Only for things I feel passionate about" Five takes a sip putting his cup down. He holds out his hand in front of Melody causing her to look down at it. "Are you asking me to dance Five Hargreeves?" Melody smirks placing her hand in his. "That is correct." He smirks back as they slowly drift towards the dance floor. Five places his hand on her hips and she places her hands on his shoulders. They get in position to dance, "I've never done this before." "Neither have I."

Joe hisaishi- Merry-go-round starts to slowly play. Melody and Five straighten their posture and begin to dance. Melody almost steps on Five foot, "I'm sorry." he looks down at the nervous girl, "It's okay, you need to stop worrying and just feel the moment and the music." Melody nods closing her eyes and breathing deeply. She listens to the beat of the music and let's her body flow like a petal on water. She opens her eyes looking into Five's deep green ones. A few moments later Melody looks around to see that almost everyone walked off just to watch them. Five realized that they had the floor to themselves and decided to make the dance bigger. He spins her causing her to giggle, they slowly waltz around the ballroom. Her back was on his chest and her hands where on his. He traced his one hand down to her waist, he used his other hand to spin her and pull her in. The song was ending so they did one big movement then he dipped her. The song slowly faded while Five slowly lifted her up faces only inches apart. They leaned in a little bit until they heard clapping. They looked around and bowed walking off back to the bar. Melody breathed deeply still holding Fives hand. Allison smirked looking down at their hands. Five let go of Melody's hand causing it to fall to her side. "Thank you, Five" Melody slightly bows, Five bows walking off back to his spot to get a drink. "Oh shit, it's 7:30. I'll see you guys later someday. I gotta go home." she gives the Hargreeves a hand shake goodbye besides Five who seemed to not be paying attention. Melody tells Iris good-bye and starts running down the hall, which was long and dark but yet beautiful.

She reached the door walking out, she filled her lungs with air and brushed her hair back. "Hey, will I ever see you again?" a voice echoed out. Melody giggled, "Maybe, Five Hargreeves." she turned around looking at him. "That doesn't sound promising." She walked towards him, "I'll find you someday Five." she kissed his cheek she walked a few steps and just like magic she was no where to be seen. Did melody ever find Five? What happened to Melody? Also this was a dream I had last night and some how wrote it in my notes on my phone and didn't know. I guess it was this morning at like 2am so.
