Guilt

Jisoo saw Lisa struggled to say what she wanted to say to her. Jisoo thought hard about Lisa's text. Did I do something last night? They were drinking in silence when Jisoo suddenly screamed,

"Fuck!! Lisa, did I touch Jennie last night??"

Lisa looked panicked, "Fuckkkk!! Did you?"

"I don't know!!! Did I??" Jisoo put her hands on her head. Fuckkkk

"Think, Jisoo, think!"

Jisoo thought hard, but she couldn't remember. Her gut was telling her that she didn't, but she wasn't sure since she was under the influence.

"I don't think so.. I remembered I told her that I wanted to go home since.." Jisoo stopped. Her face turned red. She was embarrassed to tell Lisa that she was considering to touch Jennie last night.

As if Lisa could read her mind, "Wait why did you ask whether you touched her or not? Did you want to touch her?"

"What are you talking about??" Jisoo answered abruptly, she sipped her coffee excessively.

Lisa was frozen. She suddenly had a revelation, "Jisoo, maybe you did." there was fear in her voice.

"Did I?" Jisoo was frozen too.

"You actually did touch her on the cheeks." Lisa explained how that happened. Jisoo didn't realize at first, but then she remembered that she told Jennie that she was cute and she pinched her cheeks.

Blood was draining from her face.

"Maybe you touched her again when you were drunk." Lisa continued.

"But I wasn't that drunk. I only had one can of beer. And one shot before that." Jisoo panicked.

"You sure?" Lisa tried hard to believe her.

"I don't know. But I remember Jennie was being touchy," Jisoo's face turned red, "Like she poked me and brushed her arm on mine, something like that. It might be nothing to her but you know.. It made me.. you know." Jisoo stopped. She could feel her face was burning.

Lisa felt something doesn't add up. She tried to clear her head and think clearly.

"But wait. Remember when I texted you that Jennie gave you a signal? And later when it was only the two of you in the living room, you felt it too, right? She touched you and all."

"Okay?" Jisoo tried to follow her.

"What if she was upset not because you touched her, but because you didn't??" Lisa almost screamed.

"Wait a minute.. Jennie was upset at me?"

Lisa told her the whole story. How she had an argument with Rosé. She told Jisoo that Jennie cried last night but she didn't tell her about the hurtful words Rosé said about Jisoo.

Jisoo's heart crushed. Because of her, Jennie cried. She felt her eyes burning, oh God what did I do? What did I do to her? Jisoo couldn't handle all these information. She apologized repeatedly to Lisa. Because of her, her best friend had a fight with Rosé.

Guilt was written all over Jisoo's face. Lisa saw how Jisoo tried hard to hold back her tears, tried to make sense from all of these. She felt sorry for Jisoo. She squeezed Jisoo's hand. She wanted to say something to make her feel better but there was no word she could think of to wipe the pain that displayed on Jisoo's face.
