One evening, they were in the middle of the traffic jam on their way back home.

Bzzt bzzt

It was Jisoo's phone vibrating. She ignored the phone call.

"Jisoo, just pick it up."

"No it's ok, I will return the call later."

"We're in traffic, it's okay."

Jisoo pulled out her phone and read the screen. She was hesitant. Jennie peeked into the caller ID and saw it was her dad.

"Ugh just pick it up, Jisoo." her heart was racing for no reason.

"I'm sorry, a moment please." Jisoo picked up her phone.

"Yes dad? I am driving.. no it's fine. Yes.. Yes.. I have, have you? Okay.. Okay bye see you later." she ended the call.

"Your dad?" Jennie asked curiously.

"Mhm."

"What did he say?"

Jisoo looked to Jennie briefly, "He was asking my whereabouts and whether I've had my dinner."

"Did father ask about me?" Jennie sounded nervous.

Jisoo looked at Jennie with puzzling look, "No?"

Jennie blushed, "Of course.. I mean..," she laughed awkwardly, "You know, parents. They're nosy."

Jisoo still looked at Jennie, "Yeah."

"Jisoo, the traffic's moving!" Jennie distracted her attention back to the road.

When they were already free from the traffic, Jisoo got another call.

Bzzt bzzt

"Do you want to pick it up?" Jennie was curious.

"No It's fine."

"Just pick it up, let's stop at the side of the road for a while?" she insisted, she was wondering if it was her dad again.

Jisoo stopped the car at the side of the road and pulled out her phone. Jennie peeked at the caller id: Taehyung. Suddenly she wanted to throw Jisoo's phone out of the window because it vibrated too many times today and it distracted her from her job!

"Hey! Good, you? Yes I did, you? Yes.. Okay no problem, see you. Good night!" Jisoo put her phone to silent this time and continued driving.

"Who is it?" Jennie asked.

"A friend."

Are you sure it's just a friend?

"Next time you can use the car's handsfree don't worry," so I can listen to your conversation, "So you can pick calls while you're driving." Jennie suggested.

"Thank you and sorry for the distraction."

"So tomorrow you'll not come?" Jennie tried to make a conversation before they arrived at her house.

"No. Tomorrow and the next day. I don't go to work on weekends. Unless you need me for something important?"

Yes come. I need you to have breakfast with me tomorrow. It's important.

"No, it's fine." Jennie answered, "So what are you doing on weekends?"

"Tomorrow I plan to buy some furnitures for my new student apartment. And take some furnitures in and decorate a little. I will do the same for the next day."

"Do you need a help?" Jennie offered, her voice sounded hopeful.

Jisoo frowned her eyebrows, "Thank you but it's fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

Jennie stopped for a while, "Where is your new apartment?"

Jisoo gave her the address.

"Oh it's close to our university! Great." Jennie said.

"Yeah."

"My home is not that close to the university, maybe later I also need to find a student apartment." said Jennie.

They finally arrived at Jennie's house.

"Thank you." Jennie tried to hide disappointment on her face. It's late already but she didn't want to go home yet, especially when tomorrow Jisoo wouldn't come and she had to wait until Monday.

"Okay. Good night." Jisoo said briefly.

"See you on Monday?"

"See you on Monday."
