SEASON 4 - LUKANETTE

LUKANETTE S4 - DEAREST FAMILY - PT 3

A cheerful sound of a motor horn was heard just outside the bakery. The motorcycle parks in front the bakery with Gina on board. She then takes off her helmet.

Chloe is in the background as she hears her father tell her he couldn't get any galette. 'Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous! Are you kidding me??' Chloe cries out.

Rolland panics, brings down the box of galette and fixes his hair. 'Gina?'

'Mom?' Tom says.

Rolland, Tom and Sabine open the door. Marinette goes to join them as well before Tikki stops her.

'Um, Marinette, what are you going to do with that... that galette?' Tikki smiles longingly as she points at the galette on the shelf.

Marinette smiles. 'Don't worry, Tikki. I'll put aside a piece for you and the others. Come meet my grandma Luka!' Marinette says as she grabs his hand and runs towards the bakery exit.

Gina smiles upon seeing her. 'Happy birthday, Marinetta!' She leans on her motorcycle gift wrapped with a big red ribbon.

'Mom, Marinette's last birthday was six months ago and you were there!' Tom replies.

'Oh, this year has gone by a little fast!' Gina says.

Rolland groans. 'How can anyone have their head so far up in the clouds?! A birthday's a birthday! A Galette's Day is a Galette's Day!'

'Who cares? A party is a party! We put candles on the galette and Marinetta will get the present six months earlier, that's all!' Gina says as she turns to Marinette. 'Happy birthday, sweetheart! It's a beauty, isn't it?' Rolland, Tom and Sabine groan. 'Eighteen hundred cubic centimeters, 2V cylinders, zero to three hundred kilometers per hour in five seconds flat!'

Rolland sighs. 'Gina! We're talking about a sixteen-year-old girl!'

'There's no way she's going to ride that... thing!' Tom says.

'And why not?' Gina asks.

Luka notices Tikki sneaking out of Marinette's purse.

'Psst! Marinette!' Luka whispers to get her attention.

Marinette looks over at Luka who looks over at the bakery at Tikki who is about to get her hands on the box of galette inside the bakery.

'Nothing is too good for my little fairy!' Gina continues arguing.

Marinette gasps and runs inside the bakery and snatches the box of galette from Tikki. 'Tikki! What are you doing?' she whispers.

Tikki sighs happily. 'I was just trying to... g-get a... sniff of this fabulous galette! Ah!' She zooms back into Marinette's purse.

Marinette's family and Luka enter the bakery, which sends Marinette to fumble over the box of galette she was holding.

'Ahh! Oh, there you are!' Marinette says as she manages to catch the box, nervously. 'I was... just about to bring this galette to the living room! So, we can eat it... as a family! Right?'

Gina, Rolland, Tom and Sabine stare blankly at her. Luka looks worried.

'Anyway, grandma, you haven't met my boyfriend Luka yet!' Marinette says.

'Ahh, nice to meet such a nice boy worthy of my little fairy Marinetta!' Gina says. 'You like the bike gift right?'

'Sure, but maybe you should ask Mari-' Luka begins.

'See, Luka likes it!' Gina says to Rolland, Tom and Sabine.

In the living room, Luka, Gina, Rolland, Tom and Sabine sit together on the sofa.

While Gina is speaking, Marinette distributes plates to the five of them, putting the plates on the coffee table.

'You may not want to see it but Marinetta is no longer a little ragazza! She's a young lady and she's going to love her Nonna—'

'Nonsense! Marinette will be an adult when she's twenty-one! Until then, she's a child. Allowing her to think otherwise is crazy enough—' Rolland says.

'I don't think I—' Marinette begins.

'You guys didn't come here to argue again?! I know my little girl better than anyone, and I think that huge bike is way too dangerous for her!' Tom says.

'If you would just list-' Marinette tried to say but she was interrupted again.

'You're right, son. Your mother is irresponsible and dangerous!' Rolland replies.

'That's not what I said!' Tom says.

Gina turns to Rolland. 'And what do you know about Marinette, Mr. Grumpy?'

Luka locks eyes with Marinette with a worried look as he nods towards the dining table.

Marinette gasps, noticing that Tikki is flying towards the galette on the dining table. Tikki was about to take a bite before Marinette slides on the table and the galette slips from her hands, unable to grab Tikki as well. The galette lands on her hands safely with her family finally noticing her strange behaviour.

'What exactly are you doing, Marinette?' Sabine asks her.

'Nothing!' Marinette smiles nervously. 'Don't you think it's time we ate Dad and Grandpa's delicious galette?' Suddenly, she sees a hungry Tikki by the corner of the ceiling, about to dive into the plate of galette she is holding. 'Okay, everybody! Here you go!' She places the galette on the coffee table and distributes the plates on their hands. 'Come on! Yummy-yummy! Mmm, it's so good!'

Marinette turns back to see the corner of the ceiling where Tikki was last seen but is now nowhere to be found. She shifts her head around the room anxiously to find her Kwami, placing the galette back to the dining table and hides behind a stool.

Luka looks at her worried and because the four of them were so busy arguing, they didn't even notice that Luka got up and went over to Marinette.

'We'll find her my melody' Luka whispers. 'It's going to be okay.'

Mari nods with tears forming in her eyes. 'Maybe Sass was right. I don't know Tikki as well as I thought I did!' she whispers as Luka hugs her.

In the living room the four adults continue to argue.

'Tom is overprotective of his daughter anyway.' Gina says. 'Just like his father was with hi—'

'That's how it's done! Parents protect their children!' Rolland snaps back.

'I don't overprotect my little girl!' Tom argues.

'Yes, you do, Tom! She's not a little girl anymore, you know?' Sabine replies.

Marinette in the background, spots Tikki and Luka and Mari continue to try to catch Tikki, but to no avail.

'Let's go back to my room. I have an idea!' she whispers to Luka. They climb up the stairs.

'Agreed! Which means she can ride the bike!' Gina says.

'That's not what I said!' Sabine says.

When Luka and Mari reach her room, Marinette quickly closes the trapdoor in panic.

'Tikki is not acting normal!' Mari says, upset.

'It's not as if we didn't try to warn you!' Sass says.

'When the Great Sweet Tooth has the munchies...' Xuppu says.

'She becomes out of control!' Ziggy finishes.

'There is still one way to take control of this situation. Tikki, spots on!' Marinette says.

Tikki, from downstairs, gets summoned in Marinette's earrings as Marinette transforms into Ladybug.

Ladybug sighs in relief. 'That was close!' Her stomach grumbles. 'What's going on?' She folds her arms around her stomach.

'Are you okay my melody?' Luka says, placing his hand on her shoulder.

'I'm...' She looks at the Kwamis, now possessed by Tikki's uncontrollable cravings. 'Starving!!'

The Kwamis and Luka gasp. 'Uh-oh!!'
