LUKANETTE S4 - RISK - PT 2

In the cinema, the credits were rolling when the movie finished.

'I can't believe I was able to see a whole movie without an akuma attack interrupting it!' Mari whispered to Luka.

Luka giggled. 'Nice change, isn't it?' he smiled lovingly at her.

'Wait, this will be the real test...' Mari said as she leaned in closer and they kissed each other passionately.

'Wow, am I dreaming?' Mari smiled.

'Enjoy it while you can my melody. Maybe Shadowmoth's feeling generous today' Luka smiled, kissing her hair.

'Shadowmoth, generous? Could never happen!' Mari replied as they both giggled.

Later that evening, Marinette was working on some clothing designs in her room.

'Those are some risky colour choices Marinette!' Tikki says to her.

'You think so? Oh well, what's life without taking some risks every now and then?' Mari replies.

'If you say so Marinette...' Tikki replied.

Alya and the girls called her on Skype. 'Hey girl, what's up?' Alya asked her.

'Hey girls!' Mari replied. 'Just working on some new designs! See?'

'Wow, love the bold colour choices!' Mylene replied.

'Awesome!' Juleka replied.

'I love it!' Rose says.

'Totally cool!' Zoe says.

'Looks amazing!' Alix added.

'Oh! I haven't told you the best news yet!' Mari exclaimed.

'Is it something to do with Luka?' Alya winked.

'No, not this time!' Mari grinned.

'What is it then?' Rose asked excitedly.

'I'm going to be a big sister in 6 months time!' Mari blurts out excitedly.

The girls gasped.

'Does that mean your mom...?' Alya asks.

'Yes! She's having a baby!' Mari smiles.

'Awesome!' the girls all said together.

'Boy or girl?' Mylene asks.

'Don't know yet, they want to keep it a surprise until the baby is born!' Mari replies.

'So cute! Does anyone else know?' Rose asks.

'Luka knows already, they announced it to both of us when he came over for dinner last week' Mari smiles.

'Awesome news! I hope she has a smooth pregnancy!' Zoe replies.

'Me too!' Mari replies. 'Well, better get back to designing, see you at school tomorrow!'

'Bye Marinette!' they all said, as Alya ends the call.

'See Tikki, the girls liked my designs!' Marinette says.

'Hmm...' Tikki replies, looking worriedly at the other Kwamis.

Then Mari gets a text from Kagami.

Kagami: "Hello Marinette. I thought I'd be the first to tell you that Adrien and I are back together."

Mari: "That's great news! I'm so happy for you both!"

Kagami: "Thanks Marinette. I think it was your crazy trip to the pool all those months ago that made me fall for him all over again. So, thank you. And we've worked out our issues we had in the past."

Mari smiled.

Mari: "Glad I could help! I wish you both all the best!"

Kagami: "Thanks Marinette. You too, in your relationship."

The next morning, in Adrien's room. Adrien wakes up and yawns. His computer rings from Nathalie's video call.

Nathalie: "Adrien, remember that you have—"

'School at 8:30, fencing at 1:30, then piano practice and Chinese class. But first and foremost, the breakfast for two that my father has been promising me for months!' Adrien smiles.

Nathalie: "Umm, about that..."

'What? Aww. He's cancelled, hasn't he?' Adrien replies, disappointed.

Nathalie: "No, no! You will meet with him... but, for a work session."

A robot comes in, carrying a set of clothes.

Nathalie: "Last night, your father had an idea for a new ad campaign. Please put on these clothes before joining him in his study."

She ends the video call.

Plagg smiles. 'Well, I for one would love to have breakfast with you!'

Risk continues to ride around Paris singing. 'I'm Froggy, here I come, I'm not afraid of anyone.'

Adrien scratches his neck. 'I've had it, Plagg! I'm tired of photos and ads! I don't wanna be a model for my father's brand anymore! I just wanna be a son, and be able to have breakfast with him just once! I'm gonna go talk to him.'

Plagg is shocked by Adrien's rash outburst, and flies over to Adrien. 'You do realize that your father will take this very badly, right?'

'I'm willing to take that risk!' Adrien replies.

Inside Gabriel's atelier, Lila Rossi, Bob Roth, and Vincent are present.

Adrien bursts in angrily and says, 'Father, I need to talk to you!'

Gabriel responds angrily, 'Now's not the time, Adrien! Go change into the clothes you're supposed to be wearing!'

'Yes, Father' Adrien replies, his confidence gone.

Adrien walks sadly back to his room.

'Come on, don't give up! Rebellions are like cheese soufflés, just because they collapse doesn't mean you shouldn't try again!' Plagg encourages him.
