They pull the raft up to the rounded sidewalk in front of the large home. Tonowari slides into the water, then pulls himself up onto the sidewalk, and walks over to help the Sullys get their luggage off the raft. Tuktirey begins to bounce in anticipation at the sight. After the family and their luggage are safely off the raft, two Na'vi men dressed in formal black loincloth and neckwear walk over to them. They carry most of the luggage while Tonowari leads the way up the stairs to the massive doors. Neteyam holds onto his own belongings, not trusting any stranger with them.
When he opens the doors, cool air brushes against them, relieving them of the intense heat of the day. Lo'ak's jaw drops at the sight of the spacious place. The wide spiral staircase in the center, decorated by marbles and stones, is what catches Kiri's attention.
Tonowari faces them with a smile, watching them take it all in.
Tonowari- Welcome to my abode, and your temporary home.
Neytiri watches her children visibly get excited. Even her eldest son looks around with wide eyes. He can't deny the beauty of the Olo'eyktan's home.
A figure walks out from behind the staircase, gaining everyone's attention. Kiri and her baby sister glance at each other then back at the woman, admiring her beauty. She walks over to Tonowari's side, and smiles at the family.
Tonowari- This is my mate, Ronal. She's expecting, so try not to ask too much of her.
Ronal lightly rolls her eyes, her smile never leaving.
Ronal- Ask whatever you want of me, I don't mind. And if I'm tired I'll just send one of my children to help you.
Neytiri laughs softly, knowing she would do the same thing.
Tonowari- There's a wing on both sides of the house. My helpers have taken your belongings to the left wing. Come, I'll give you a tour.
Ronal- We still have to take them to enroll their children in school.
Tonowari- Right, the tour will have to wait then.
Ronal- Or, you could let our children show theirs around while we're gone. Let them get acquainted before you assign them as their personal instructors.
With a nod, Tonowari calls for his children, and Neteyam's breath hitches. Shortly after, the only son, Aonung, comes down the stairs. Followed by his sister, Tsireya, and his quiet friend Rotxo.
When he reaches the bottom of the staircase, Aonung looks at the blue Na'vi in front of him with confusion. He's known forest Na'vi look different, but has never seen any with his own eyes. What's really got him confused, though, is them suddenly showing up in his home.
The teens trail over to Tonowari, Tsireya's eyes lingering on the oldest Sully boy, who indifferently averts his gaze. Lo'ak exchanges a look with Kiri after following Tsireya's gaze. They smirk at each other, knowing the girl is already interested in their older brother.
Tonowari- This is Aonung, and Tsireya. Rotxo is a friend of theirs.
The Sully kids give them a formal greeting, and Tsireya is the only one who returns it. Neytiri silently judges the impolite Metkayina boys.
Hers are children of Toruk Makto, they deserve as much respect as any offspring of an Olo'eyktan. It doesn't matter if it's a former title, the title was still his, and he still carries the weight of it. She slightly turns her nose up at the thought, but reminds herself they're guests in the house.
Tonowari places a hand on his son's shoulder, and looks at the Omaticaya kids.
Tonowari- They will give you a tour while we're gone.
Aonung blinks, not catching on.
Aonung- Why?
The Chief remembers vaguely mentioning their guests to his children before, but looks down at his son to explain once again.
Tonowari- Jake Sully and his family will be staying with us for a while.
Aonung- What?
His father ignores the distress in his voice, and turns to Jake and Neytiri.
Tonowari- Now come, we have lots to do. Including getting you two a ride.
Tonowari and Ronal both lead Jake and Neytiri out, after telling their children to be on their best behavior.
