I paced the outside area as I bit my nails.

I sighed as I heard a door opened.

"Mommy!"

Emery yelled, running towards me. I picked her up as I hugged her tighter than I've ever hugged her.

"I missed you so much Em."

I said, starting to cry. I fell to the ground with her still in my arms. I didn't wanna let her go. I didn't wanna let any of this go.

"I missed you more Mommy."

Emery said.

"How's Daddy been treating you?"

I asked her.

"Good. He goes out a lot with Zoe though."

Emery pouted. Zoe must be his new girl.

"Is she nice to you?"

"Yes Mommy. Daddy even asked me to start calling her Mama because he says that we get along really well."

Emery said. My heart broke. He really was trying to to erase me from Emery's memory. He must've been with Zoe when we were together for him to move on this quick. Maybe that's why he was fine when we broke up.

"Don't listen to him, okay? Does he leave a lot?"

"Yeah."

"Who do you stay with?"

"Zoe's Mom. She's really nice and pretty."

Emery said. I sighed. How could he just leave her alone with a stranger.

"I love you. Don't forget me."

I said, hugging her again.

"I love you too Mommy. I'll never forget you."

She said, hugging me back. I let go and watched her run back to Zoe. My heart broke. She deserved to be home with Finn and I. At least I had some closure.
