1 Month Later | Pam's POV
"Happy birthday princess!"
I said with a smile as I picked Mia up.
"Morning Mommy."
Mia said as she threw her arms around my neck.
"I love you baby girl! I can't believe you're already one! Let's go make your special birthday breakfast before your sister wakes up."
I said as I carried Mia out to the kitchen. We recently bought a new house so it's just the girls and I. I quickly made Mia and I some food and placed it on her high chair tray. I went to take a bite of my food when I heard crying from the baby monitor.
"Damn it."
I said as I got out of my seat and walked to the nursery.
"Good morning angel."
I said as I picked a crying Ava up.
"I know you're hungry dude. So am I."
I said as I sighed. I carried her out to the kitchen and used one hand to feed her bottle and the other to feed myself.
"You know, being a single mom does have its perks. I get you guys all to myself."
I said as I smiled at Mia.
"I love you Mommy."
Mia said as she smiled.
"I love you too."
I said as I kissed her cheek.

"Happy birthday to you!"
I sang as I helped Mia blow out the candles on her cupcake.
"Cupcake!"
Mia cheered as I laughed. I cut the cupcake up a bit and gave it to her. As she ate the cupcake, I took a photo of her and posted it to Instagram with the caption:
Happy Birthday Mia! I never, ever thought I would see you grow up to be one and I'm so astonished to see the smart one year old you've become. I love you and your sister so much and I can't wait to see the mess you make with this cupcake. 😂🎂🎉
"This is so good Mommy!"
Mia cheered as I smiled.
"I'm glad you like it. Happy birthday."
I said as I kissed the top of her head. It disappointed me a lot that Fergal didn't even bother to call or send Mia a birthday card but...I guess disappointment is just something I have to get used to with him.
